The ID and OD tracking enable smooth beveling with out of round pipes and it is compatible with our Beaver S Series, except Beaver 3 S. ID tracking is highly recommended if consistent land is required and if a counterbore is not possible to apply. It helps you to compensate for the out of roundness and the deviation of wall thickness. However, the deviation in wall thickness does not matter for OD tracking. There are two types of applications for ID / OD tracking. The first one is the ID / OD tracking module, which can be placed and removed easily on the chuck. The other option is a chuck with integrated ID or ID & OD tracking. ID tracking follows the inner pipe by a spring-loaded roller on the tooling slide. The tool holders are placed on the slide of the ID / OD tracking module to produce required angles and shapes with constant results.
