If the bottom of the aluminium dish still feels frozen, repeat per 30 seconds. The crème brûlée is ready to eat when the bottom feels cold but not frozen. If you leave some space between the dishes, you can defrost several midi sized trays at the same time. You can also defrost at room temperature. At 20°C the midi crème brûlée is defrosted in about half an hour.
