The perimeter of the top of the boom is 500*2*3.14=3140mm, the perimeter of 1 degree is 3140/360=8.7mm, then the perimeter of 1 arc minute is 8.7/60=0.145mm, the absolute value of our average error is 0.026mm, which is equivalent to a circumference of 0.026/0.145=0.1793 arc minutes. A backlash of less than 1 arcmin has been achieved.
