The standrard stock of chromed bars consists of steel grades C45 or C45E or C45R and 20MnV6 in untreated delivery condition (+AR) and 42CrMo4 in quenched and temperd delivery condition (+QT).
The solid bars subjected to chroming process are available in different delivery conditions in orde to obtain specific properties.
Heat treatment consisting heating process followed by gradual cooling in controlled atmosphere. Thanks to this process the steel structure becomes more "refined" and improve its impact properties (perlitic structure).
The surface of the steel bar is heated by electric induction followed by fast cooling. This process leads to a high surface hardness but also to fragility and low impact values (Martensite surface structure).

We supply the pipes that are suitable for bending and are used for the constructions of plants and equipment subject to high temperatures and pressures. The seamless pipes, hot rolled or cold drawn/cold finished with heat treatment.
The ASTM A335/ASME SA335 and EN 10216-2 norms require heat treatment also for the hot rolled pipes. The welded pipes are manufactured according to EN 10217-2. Supply of pipes suitable for high temperatures are according to;

We can supply pipes for the construction of pipelines, equipment and tanks subject to low temperatures as Seamless or welded pipes, hot rolled or cold finished. Pipe norms suitable for low temperatures are according to;

As per the norm EN 10297 specifies the technical delivery conditions for seamless round steel tubes.
The tubes for mechanical applications are mainly used in those processes in which turning and CNC machines are used.
The wide size range available, with OD from 21.3 to 812 mm, gives the possibility to manufacture several kinds of components for different applications: small machine parts, flanges, fittings, Archimedean screws, hydraulic cylinders for heavy machines etc.
The round SEAMLESS tubes are hot rolled and satisfy both the requirements of the norm EN 10210 for structural applications and EN 10297-1 for mechanical applications.
These steel tubes are fully killed and are suitable for structural applications but with the possibility to reach up to 100 mm w.t., which is impossible for welded tubes. These tubes are used for the manufacture of various kinds of construction components, above all where heavy wall thickness are required.

The round tubes are manufactured from a coil that is bent and electric resistance welded (ERW). The forming process can be according to EN 10210, which foresees hot forming or cold forming followed by heat treatment, or according to EN 10219, which foresees cold forming without following heat treatments. The finished product is fully killed and welding seam bead is inside and outside trimmed.
These products are used to manufacture both welded and bolted structures, in the field of constructions, engineering, industrial constructions, transports, automotive, agricultural machinery and earth moving machinery.
The cold finished tubes are particularly suitable for structures at sight or for aesthetical uses, thanks to the surface aspect typical of cold forming.

After the final cold drawing process, tubes are stress relieved in controlled atmosphere in order to reduce work hardening due to the cold forming process.
