The BGS product line consists of machines designed for the sharpening of flat and round broaching tools found mainly in the automotive and aerospace industries. Design and programming of the BGS is based on many years of manufacturing experience and knowledge of the tool industry. The BGS series signifies not only a machine concept but also a complete technological package consisting of machine and competence in the tool manufacturing arena. The machines of the BGS series are specifically designed for the sharpening process. The design concept with high dynamics and adapted grinding spindle allow the efficient and economic sharpening of broaching tools. An onboard measuring device probes the tooth root and cutting edge to determine the tooth pitch.

The millGrind series is specially developed for the requirements of machining in the turbine industry as multiple technology solution in one set-up. The modular machine system in travelling table design allows an individual configuration of the machine according to the customers' needs. Automatic tool and diamond roll changing allows the machining to machine with — Al-oxide, CBN and diamond grinding wheels — Drills — Milling cutter — Laser cladding — Measuring of the unfinished workpiece — Measuring of the machine workpiece including rework in one set-up. This guarantees that all machined surfaces run to each other and errors are avoided by repeated re-chucking. In addition to the machining of new blades and vanes for rework a laser cladding device can be added. This allows the measuring, cladding and grinding or milling of the worn areas.

The DW292 is specifically designed for cutting monocrystalline silicon ingots up to 300mm diameter into high quality wafers for the semiconductor industry. The newly developed DW292-300 can be operated with slurry wire, as well as with diamond wire, and has sophisticated features for optimizing warp and ripple. The longer wire field, as well as the higher wire speed and acceleration, enable a higher throughput per machine and year. The use of extremely thin wire is possible thanks to smaller inertia of moving parts, fewer deflection rollers and shorter wire distance. The DW292-300 is highly resistant to temperature fluctuations and vibrations due to its compact and robust machine frame made of mineral casting. The Lapmaster Model 15 is a bench mounted unit ideal for engineering workshops, where flatness and finish are of prime importance. It is equipped with a 381mm diameter serrated cast iron lap plate intended for use with free abrasive compounds. The Lapmaster model 15 can be used to process a wide variety of materials including semiconductors, electro optics, ceramics, metals and other specialty products up to a diameter of 140mm. It is equipped with a 914mm diameter serrated lap plate, manufactured from Grade 300 grey cast iron to ISO 185(2005) as standard. Other plates can be supplied on request. The machine is self-contained and the rigid welded tubular section steel frame supports the reduction gearbox and drive motor and houses the abrasive compound system and the waste tank. Access to these is provided by lift off panels. The machine is intended for use with free abrasive compounds. A dispensing system, for use with water and diamond compounds etc., can also be fitted. Flatness of the machines lap plate, and consequently of the work, is controlled by adjusting the position of the conditioning rings relative to the lap plate track.

The Lapmaster line of Dual-Lap machines are based upon a two-way & three way planetary concept designed to yield very precise and repeatable results. Only the Inner and Outer Gears rotate allowing the carriers to move around the surface of the plates, whilst the top and bottom plate stay stationary. The larger DL500 and DL770 use a 3-way system, where the top plate, bottom plate and sun gear rotate.

The Lapmaster Model 48 is equipped with a 48 inch (1219mm) diameter lap plate. This is manufactured from Grade 300 grey cast iron to ISO 185(2005). It consists of individual segments bolted to a support plate. Outlets are provided to feed each conditioning ring via a track wire, with individual control valves. This system is designed so that a circulatory flow is established. The pump is capable of delivering far more compound to the outlets than is necessary. Excess compound is returned to the reservoir via a sloping drain tube. This together with the constant agitations provided by the stirrer minimises the tendency of the abrasive grains to settle out in the vehicle. The machine is intended for use with free abrasive compounds. A dispensing system, for use with water and diamond compounds etc., can also be fitted. The Lapmaster Wolters Model 20 is a bench mounted unit with a heavy duty carbon steel weldment base. The model 20 is ideal for engineering workshops, where flatness and finish are of prime importance. It is equipped with a 508mm diameter serrated lap plate, manufactured from Grade 300 grey cast iron to ISO 185(2005) as standard. In-shop lapping reduces costs of component processing and equipment maintenance programs. Worn parts are reconditioned and salvaged, thus eliminating scrap. The pneumatic lift version of the Lapmaster Wolters Model 20 is based on the open face machine. Pressure weights are attached through self-aligning bearings to the rods of the pneumatic cylinders. The cylinders are mounted on a framework located over the lap plate on an upright column. The primary function of the pneumatic arrangement is to permit loading and unloading to be carried out without the need to lift pressure weights manually.
