Pelet Production Lines

The new generation of German Graf Equipment GmbH Gorilla pellet mills is especially designed for applications with very hard pelleting conditions in terms of raw material quality in limited working space and while keeping all production norms. The production of wood pellets is one of these applications. In fact, Gorilla is the first pellet mill designed for the biomass industry, including wood biomass, with direct drive system, without gearbox or V-belts. The new pellet mill performs a high efficiency thanks to its powerful torque motor, saving around 20% of energy, compared with the conventional drive systems. An unquestionable advantage of all Gorilla pellet mill is their modular design and a large die speed range (from 4 to 8 m/s) without loss of torque, which allows to meet even the highest technological standards of pellet production. Gorilla pellet mills assure superior finished pellet quality with a high PDI (Pellet Durability Index).

Pellet mill’s working principle is, mash feed is forced outward through holes in a ring die by the action of two or three rollers, which is then cut to a predetermined size. Before mechanical process, steam can be injected into the conditioner at temperature 85 degrees celsius. Due to the built-in ball screws, our CNC Router High-Z/T achieves an extremely precise accuracy and an almost no longer measurable backlash of about 0.01mm. In addition, high travel speeds of up to approximately 108mm per second (6500 mm per minute) can be achieved. Installation of protective housing and the suction socket is necessary for CE-compliant commissioning of our CNC machines.

Thanks to the robust steel frame, our T-Rex CNC mill enables you to produce precisely, quickly and cleanly. Even with workpieces made of hard material, you will achieve ideal results, thanks to the high stability of the CNC machine, which is guaranteed by the robust construction. The Yaskawa servo motors installed on all axes bring speed and precision to the production process. Versatile application possibilities: drilling, cutting or engraving in materials such as plastic, wood, granite, marble, stone and metal can be done with high accuracy.
