Renasan commenced operations in Ankara in 1967 as a private company to manufacture ink ribbons. Renasan maintained operations as a private company until 1983, and thereafter made new investments as the leading company in this field, thus took justified pride of being the first company that manufactured ribbons starting with synthetic fiber. Combining such achievement with export opportunities in the domestic market, then Renasan opened to foreign markets in 1983 and began operating under the name of RENASAN.
