What is rope brake? Car and counterweight are connected with rope in Elevator. This rope is laid on the sheave of traction machine. By this traction machine, elevator moves up and down. At present, Elevator has braking device in case of sudden fall, however the safety device for sudden rise exceeding the normal speed and slippery phenomenon when getting on and off is insufficient. Rope Brake acts directly to rope and it is the most suitable safety system that prevents accident completely.
