Die geförderte Pilotanlage für ein energie- und ressourceneffizientes Verfahren zur Rückgewinnung von Ammonium aus Abwasser mittels Membrandestillation ist seit Anfang Oktober im Klärwerk Forchheim in Betrieb. Das Gemeinschaftsprojekt wird vom Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) bis Ende Juni 2021 gefördert. Die zukunftsorientierte Membrandestillations-Pilotanlage (MD) wurde von der SolarSpring GmbH aus Freiburg entwickelt und vor Ort installiert. Die membranbasierte Ammoniumsulfat-Rückgewinnung aus Abwasser ist eine junge, vielversprechende Technologie mit bisher wenig Praxiserfahrungen. Ziel des geförderten Pilotprojektes ist die Machbarkeit einer mit Abwärme betriebenen Anlage, die auch den Einsatz der Chemikalien in der Abwasserreinigung und -nutzung reduzieren soll. Die beteiligten Projektpartner sind die SolarSpring GmbH |Membrane Solutions aus Freiburg, Universität Stuttgart, Fraunhofer ISE und der Abwasserzweckverband Breisgauer Bucht (AZV).
