Licorice needs experience. Licorice extract is obtained from the licorice root and has already come a long way before it is refined and processed by Norevo according to our individual customers’ requirements. All the while, the best of it remains well protected: Its main active substance glycyrrhizin, a strongly sweetening glycoside that is contained in the roots. Thanks to its flavoring, sweetening, and/or debittering properties, licorice extract is used in confectionery, beverages, food, and pharmaceutical products.

To date, gum acacia is still harvested by hand in the form of amber-colored chunks. As a purely vegetable raw ingredient, it has a wide range of applications. It contains a polyfunctional hydrocolloid that offers excellent stabilizing and emulsifying properties; moreover, it is used as a natural adhesive and as an encapsulating agent in various recipes. With more than 100 years of experience in the procurement and refining of this valuable raw ingredient, Norevo has built a sustainable and stable network of partners in its African regions of origin.

Red algae, from which the raw ingredient agar-agar is extracted, offer a wide variety of positive properties. Among other things, they contain hot-water-soluble hydrocolloid, which caters for high gel strength levels in the gelling and thickening process. This helps create particularly stable and thermoreversible gels for industrial uses. Norevo’s expertise is based on our long-standing partnership with the world's leading agar-agar manufacturer Setexam from Morocco, through which Norevo can supply different qualities of agar-agar and organic agar-agar.

Our texturizers are used to produce innovative chewy confectioneries, toffees, or chewable centers. They provide maximum flexibility with regards to the use of gelatin or sugar and are therefore also suitable for vegetarian and vegan products. Quick Mixx and Quick Chew create customized chewy textures to meet the individual requirements on a product.
