Our range of materials offers customers a wide selection of high-alloy iron-, nickel- and cobalt-based varieties. Our production facilities enable us to forge and upset stainless steel. This brings the advantage of working with less material and keeping the costs for material usage lower. Our greatest core competence is thread rolling, an area in which we have more than 30 years of experience. Our production is highly automated and designed for series production, but individual parts or small series can be included in the production plan at any time. We can produce turned parts from a length of approx. 80 mm up to 6000 mm. In terms of diameter, our range starts at 10 mm and we can process a maximum of 600 mm. The Energietechnik Essen GmbH develops, produces and supplies safety-relevant high-tech products, mainly for manufacturers of power generation machinery. When the first turbo-generator was built at the start of the 20th century, the Essen-based company supplied the retaining rings. Retaining rings are placed on the ends of the rotors to fix the copper coil against the centrifugal forces created by the high rotational speeds. Energietechnik Essen GmbH uses two remelting units, one electroslag remelting unit and one pressurised electroslag remelting unit, to produce the materials for retaining rings.
