Rostfrei-Stahl Geisweid GmbH (RFSG) is a traditional family-owned company that can look back on a history that extends over more than 50 years. At the time the company was founded in 1964, we were the first service centre in Europe and the first provider to offer plasma-cut metal plates made of Cr-Ni steels resistant to rust, acid and heat. Today we supply stainless steel components cut with plasma, water jet and lasers, as well as sawn stainless steel components to the entire European market. We primarily manufacture products for customers in the food, pharmaceuticals and paper industries as well as for companies in the chemicals and petrochemicals sectors. We also work for customers from the energy, offshore and environmental technology sectors. Our daily activities are characterised by flexible responses to market requirements. Today, we are the only independent cutting firm of this size in Germany.

Since the company was founded in 1910 by Robert Berger Sen. and his sons Paul and Robert Jun. in Solingen, we have been producing special tools for drilling and manufacturing ceramic-bonded abrasive discs – now for more than five generations. In addition to our drilling tools, we produce concrete millers and iron tools for joints for road restoration and offer our customers all standard services and custom work in the field of metal processing. The stainless steel door fittings made in the 1990s are further testimonials to our manufacturing capabilities. Even today, you can still find these fittings in the Bundestag, the Federal Chancellery, the Hotel Adlon, the Neue Messe München (exhibition centre in Munich) and the Düsseldorf Stadttor, to name just the most well-known places.

Our tile profiles are hand-made and come with different surface finishes. Our core business is machining corner protection profiles and profiles for tiling. At the centre of our machining processes are cross-grinding, brushed versions as surface patterns and mirror finishes. The design varies according to customer specifications. Finish grinding the surfaces of stainless-steel profile creates a high-quality transition between different types of flooring. That makes it possible to create decorative transitions between different types of flooring, for example between parquet and tiles, or skirting boards. The ProDiva profile is not just suited to decorative applications, however, it is also used for edge protection. Corner ends with matching machining patterns complete the set.
