Our expertise and diligence is trusted by more than 100 active customers from numerous business sectors, with whom we generated an annual turnover of over than 8 million euros. Karl Kaldenberg – important milestones in the company's history. 1930 – Founded by Karl Kaldenberg as a sand foundry for brass casting. 1959 – Death of company founder Karl Kaldenberg. Up to 1963 – Company continued by Elisabeth Kaldenberg. 1963 – Acquisition by Karl Hans-Peter Kaldenberg. 1965 – Relocation to the current site of Heiligenhaus, which had a production area of approx. 600 m² at the time. 1980 – Construction of new production area of around 700 m² for the chill foundry. 2008 – Acquisition by Karl Joachim Stephan Kaldenberg. The production area has been continuously extended to its current size of more than 5000 m². Our production process uses the latest technical equipment and is based on a certified quality management system.

Our foundry boasts a long history dating back to the Schütz & Hertelhat engineering works, Mafa Wurzen for short, founded in 1879. This was followed 74 years later by the company VEB Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei Wurzen, which was transferred to the ownership of Esterer AG in 1991 and has been trading under the name "Esterer Gießerei Werk Wurzen GmbH" ever since. Together with its sister company in Altötting, Esterer Gießerei GmbH, the Wurzen-based foundry was acquired by Holding Topol GmbH in 2008. Together with Esterer Gießerei Altötting, our company is now one of the leading system suppliers in Europe. Our core areas are the manufacture of geometrically complex and core-intensive products. However, our strengths also include double-walled castings, castings with low wall strength and large components weighing up to four tonnes. We guarantee our customers the maximum possible process safety, even with challenging components.

FEHRMANN Materials produces industrial-grade, high-performance aluminium and can meet the highest demands and requirements. We develop high-performance aluminium alloys for 3D printing, casting and extrusion applications for other vendors and we use these ourselves for the industrial production of sand-casting parts. Fehrmann is a one-stop shop distributor for established 3D printing metal powders such as tool steel powder (1.2709), stainless steel powder 316L, AlSi10Mg, TiAl6V4 powdered alloy (fine/coarse) and CoCr powder. By up scaling quantities, combined with optimised storage and quality assurance, we bring together the advantages of international trade to meet the availability and quality requirements of our customers and promote 3D printing. An additional focus is the development of an aluminium alloy (AlMgty®) with particular mechanical properties – known as high-performance alloys. These are used for casting (sand, chill and die casting) as well as in extrusion and additive manufacturing/3D printing (LPBF/SLM and DED). As experts in aluminium alloys, we place great emphasis on quality and reliability. We aim to always create added value for our customers.
