The concept of pre-insulated pipes aims to convey the transported media such that the thermal properties remain unchanged. The origins of the constructive design can be traced back to district heating pipeline technology, the aim of which is to transport heat over long distances. Using overground pre-insulated pipes changes the product requirements.
