The company was founded in 1986 as a sole trader business by Edgar Hohmann, who was trained as an industrial engineer. Such was the company's growth that he very soon needed more space and had to rent an entire hall, where operations continued until the current production site was built in 1992. In 2011, the company was passed on to the second generation, ably led by Managing Directors Karin Hohmann-Riecke (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing., MSc.) and Stefan Hohmann (master craftsman, business manager). In 2020, the existing production hall was extended to increase production and manufacture capacities. The company presently employs 18 people and operates 10 CNC turning machines, a milling centre, a laser marking machine, Trowal machines and many other finishing and measuring machines. Furthermore, we have long-standing working relationships with many partners, enabling us to offer a one-stop shop for most additional processing works such as nickel plating and tin plating.

BIEGLO is a distribution company for high-performance plastics based in Hamburg, Germany. We are the exclusive distributor of polyether ether ketone (PEEK) CoPEEK from Panjin Zhongrun and sell polyimide (PI) Meldin® from Saint Gobain and (TPI) AURUM® from Mitsui Chemicals. Our range also includes polybenzimidazole (PBI), polyamide-imide (PAI) and polyetherimide (PEI). We also recycle. We buy back clean, sorted PEEK scrap. International operations are important to BIEGLO. We have many foreign customers, and can now draw on an international network of suppliers to deliver our popular products. BIEGLO also operates a number of online shops: PEEK-shop.de, PI-shop.de, PAI-shop.de, PBI-shop.de and PEI-shop.de. Our CoPEEK comes from Panjin Zhongrun in China. We offer it as either granulate or powder in different viscosities. Our range also includes semi-finished products in PEEK, including plates, tubes, rods, filaments and films. Meldin® PI is supplied by Saint Gobain and manufactured in the USA. We supply Meldin® semi-finished products in the form of plates and rods, as well as direct formed parts. AURUM® thermoplastic polyimide from Mitsui Chemicals in Japan is the thermoplastic with the highest glass transition temperature (Tg) of 245 °C. We offer PBI and PBI PEEK compounds made from Celazole®. Products in the Celazole® T Series are PBI compounds developed for injection moulding and extrusion.

We can offer you over 200 permanent neodymium magnets in our online magnet shop and we endeavour to meet your individual requirements wherever possible. Our range extends from small mini magnets just 1 mm in size to strong super magnets over 20 cm in size. Our super magnets can hold up to 1000 times their own weight. Strong neodymium block magnets have a range of commercial applications: Machine and plant engineering, model making, the automotive industry, lighting, electric motors, generators, loudspeakers, etc. Our magnet shop is currently achieving 30% turnover growth per year. Our company has been manufacturing and marketing precision gauges and measuring tools since 1986. The SMT-MESSZEUGE® brand was created in 1995. The SMT-MESSZEUGE range includes thousands of measuring tools and instruments, testing devices, plus special and precision gauges. Some measuring instruments we manufacture ourselves, others we have exclusively manufactured by partner companies that have been working with us for decades.
