The trigger for developing a mechanical spreading solution in addition to our agricultural business was a regional slug calamity in 1989, which caused considerable damage to the regional agricultural sector. The result is well-known – a spreader operated using a 12-volt supply allowing slug pellets to be spread over a large area – the first SuperVario®. Over time, the range of 12-volt spreading equipment has constantly been extended. Today, LEHNER boasts a range of innovative products used in the fields of agriculture, viticulture, fruit-farming and winter road maintenance as well as special machinery used primarily in the road construction industry.
