GUN GUS is a namibian company specialized in the manufacture of sheep wool products such as carpets, runners and felt products including slippers, pot-holders or christmas decorations. The term Gün Güs comes from the local Nama language, meaning Swakara sheep. Our studio is situated on a farm that breeds their own sheep and manufacture products with their wool. Our products are mostly handmade and showcase the talent and experience of local crafters. Their quality is therefore unmatched. Our carpets will provide color and texture to your living space. You will be able to choose between a wide variety of patterns adapted to your tastes and style to create a comfortable atmosphere in your home. Wool fibers are naturally resistant, so your carpet will be easy to clean and wash if needed in case of spillages for example. We will be happy to give you simple advice to maitain the beauty of your carpet. We recommand to vacuum your carpets regularly to prolong it's life and enhance its appearance. Since 1990 the Namibia Craft Centre has been operating in Windhoek specializing in hand made craft, arts and gifts. Our key aim is to promote arts and culture of Namibian artists from varied communities and ethnic groups in rural areas. We showcase jewellery, hand-woven baskets, carpets, silk scarves, wooden objects, textiles and embroidered linens, as well as leather goods such as bags and accessories. We support over 4.000 crafters and strive to promote innovation, quality and diversity to provide our visitors with a rich cultural shopping experience.
