Pine Furniture Board is a non-structural, factory made, panel product which is constructed from narrow strips of Scandinavian Pine timber. Our Maple Furniture Board is produced on an 18mm MDF core which, in turn, offers far better qualities than its particle board counterparts. The MDF core provides a cleaner cut, is easier to edge and takes screws better, in our opinion, than the inferior chipboard (particle board) alternative. Due to the unreliable factory finished edge of melamine faced board we would always recommend avoiding 1220mm panel widths.
