The robust and lightweight construction of Airfloor® NTF continues to be the SFE selection of choice among the Metzeler products. This two-layer backing material was first introduced in its original form during the mid-1980s. Superior telegraphing resistance, high-wear resistance, ease of installation and maintenance continue to drive demand for Airfloor®, particularly for Airbus OEM requirements. DUROFLEX® will be based on the same structure than AIRFLEX® but with improved top-/surface layer. Furthermore, we do not use harmful raw materials such as PVC or halogens FLOORSIL® 2/FCS can still be used with all our new DURO products.

AIRLAM is made out of two layers of phenolic resin prepregs and is used as a stabilizing base layer through all of our flooring products. AIRLAM products fulfill the AIRBUS Specification 2520M1M013101 and DON 608-05, Issue 10/94.
