In metal parts produced by processes involving water EXCOR PERIGOL DW removes the water, which dissolved corrosion-inducing salts may also contain, from the surface, creating a wipeproof film which protects against corrosion. This property can also be useful for dry parts, for instance during spraying. A wipeproof film provides more robust protection against mechanical and thermal stresses and also enhances the corrosion protection it provides.

EXCOR VALENO Trays and Containers are made of hard plastics based on polyethylene and polypropylene and manufactured using deep-drawing or injection moulding techniques. The durability of these containers makes them the ideal choice for multiple uses, or may with narrower walls be employed as single-use packaging. The work pieces or small loads to be transported fit snugly into the containers. No additional VCI diffusers are needed since the plastic is impregnated with VCI substances. These two combined properties markedly simplify every kind of automated transport and storage process. EXCOR UNICO is a soft open-cell foam 5 mm thick which has been impregnated with VCI. Thanks to its cellular structure it has a very large diffusing surface area which means that the VCIs rapidly reach saturation point within the packaging. UNICO foam can be used as a VCI booster in very voluminous film packages. UNICO foam is available in rolls or sheets. It is odour-free, dry and resistant to ageing. If you wish to attach it to walls or lids EXCOR can supply the product fitted with a self-adhesive strip.

VCI skin packages are particularly suitable for protecting small items and replacement parts from mechanical and corrosive damage. It is frequently used for the storage and/or transportation of corrosion-sensitive components such as brake disks, crankshafts, valves and springs. The steady, gradual emission of the EXCOR VCI corrosion protection substance prolongs the kraft paper's active life, while the fact that both sides provide effective VCI protection prevents application errors. EXCOR ABRIGO is suitable as VCI interior packaging, interleaving sheets or as inserted VCI carriers. As well as standard sizes we also supply custom sheets and rolls. The paper is a particularly economical choice because can precisely plan the amount you need.

VALENO Stretch Film combines the tried-and-tested corrosion protection afforded by EXCOR VCI with the specific properties of a stretch film. VALENO Stretch Film is a universal medium for the shape-hugging wrapping of merchandise stacked in open containers and the secure bundling of shaped pieces and tubing, while also providing a protective skin for metal parts and coils. Its smooth outer surface prevents wrapped merchandise packages from adhering to each other and facilitates the handling of stretched packages. The VCI corrosion protection integrated into the polyethylene-polymer matrix of EXCOR VALENO Stretch Film is active on both sides. VALENO Stretch Film can be used both manually and in packing machines.

As compared with conventional LDPE and HDPE films, multi-layer, diagonally laminated EXCOR VALENO X Film delivers extremely good strength properties. These make it ideal for multiple uses, while the ability to use both sides without having to worry about the effective direction provide additional operational security. EXCOR VALENO X Film is ideally suitable for packaging very bulky objects such as machinery, particularly if severe mechanical stresses are anticipated during transport. As single or multiple use packaging, VALENO X Film often comes in the form of covers specifically designed to fit the shape of the merchandise to be transported, complete with special closure and fastening accessories.

The transport and storage of large corrosion-sensitive merchandise in the open air calls for special protective measures. For our EXCOR ABRIGO crepe papers we process raw paper ranging from 30 - 200 g/m² and with degrees of creping from 5 - 200 per cent (by creping we mean the percentage increase in base weight due to the crinkling it brings about). EXCOR ABRIGO crepe papers are available as rolls or sheets.

Using a special process, trays of different dimensions or materials (corrugated board, fibre casting, plastic) are equipped with a VCI film true to contour. The VCI protection becomes part of the tray and - combined with a closed outer packaging - makes further corrosion protection unnecessary. You can directly load the trays, minimize the need for packaging components and optimize handling at the workplace. Trays made of cast fibre or corrugated board are ideal for one-way use. After use, the film and tray can easily be separated, so that both materials can be sorted and disposed of.

EXCOR VALENO Fleece combines VCI corrosion protection with the advantages of a fleece material. EXCOR VALENO fleece is durable, pliant, hydrophobic and soft, making it ideal for protecting parts with delicate surfaces from corrosion and mechanical damage. Due to its open-pored fleece structure the VCI substances vaporise more rapidly, swiftly building up a protective atmosphere. This high VCI concentration also makes EXCOR VALENO fleece ideal as a VCI depot for long-term packages.
