SPIROL's FH400 Headed Barbed Pin has a series of barbs extending down the entire length of the pin. Headed Barbed Pins are a great replacement for self-tapping screws in plastic assemblies as Barbed Pins are installed into standard moulded (or drilled) holes, they install much faster than screws, and they eliminate issues associated with cross-threaded or skewing during installation. Unlike screws that resist back-out (or loosening) by being tightened to a preset torque, Barbed Pins are retained by the plastic backfilling over the aggressively-designed barbs. The head provides a positive stop and is also used to retain a thin component to a thicker component within an assembly. SPIROL's FH400 Headed Barbed Pins are available in metric diameters ranging from Ø2mm to Ø6mm and inch diameters ranging from Ø.078" (5/64) to Ø.250" (1/4) in low carbon steel and austenitic stainless steel.

Together with the Fachhochschule Münster – University of Applied Sciences we are working on ALWA PERM (patent No. 2583995). This is a metal-filled casting resin for producing a porous, resin-bound mould. These materials are applicable in the areas of thermoforming, the ceramic industry, intake moulds and devices, pneumatic cushioning, the filter industry, etc. ALWA PERM allows a castable production of porous metallic materials with a binder for the first time. The system offers a highly accurate mould surface reproduction. The profile characteristics goes far beyond the current state of the art. NO MORE DRILLING OF VACUUM HOLES! NO DAMAGE OF THE MOULD SURFACE DUE TO DRILLING HOLES

Thermoforming lids are as necessary as cups in disposable plastic items industry. Almost all food-connected packaging plastic items, such as YOGURT CUPS, SALAD CONTAINERS, TAKE-AWAY CONTAINERS AND LUNCH BOXES, TRAYS, JUICE CUPS, COFFEE CUPS, need their thermoformed lids from PP, PS or PET. CMK lid moulds, same as the cup moulds, are manufactured by using high quality aluminium and steel from Europe and all material is processed by European CNC tooling devices. CMK manufactures Lid Moulds with or without hole punch and moulds to be used on PP,PS,PET materials.
