The machining cycle developed by ITALGEAR for cylindrical shaved gears allow compensating, through appropriate correction of each single machining steps, the unavoidable distortions introduced by the carburizing and hardening heat treatment and obtain finished gears of the highest quality. Ionic exchange polymers, when in touch with a solution containing salt compounds (i.e. ions), exchange certain ions with other ions having the same electric charge. In particular, potassium ions can be exchanged with hydrogen ions which will create a new tartaric acid molecule. Moreover, other ions, such as calcium, iron and copper, are partially exchanged. This treatment lowers the pH giving added protection against bacterial attacks (for example rettanomyces) which could generate anomalous fermentations.

The hyperfiltration plant (commonly known as reverse osmosis) allows the removal of a part of water by a semipermeable membrane and the action of a high pressure. The membrane is made of an organic material (polymer), with thickness of few microns, and supported from another organic material (supporting polymer). For the oenological application of the reverse osmosis, Bared use spiral membranes.
