Calcined Dolomite, Dead-burned or sintered dolomitic refractories, which are prepared by high-temperature calcination dolomitic ores, are extensively used in the steel industry for open-hearth furnaces and repair of the hearth linings of basic electric. Such refractories are also employed in the form of bricks for the working linings of oxygen steel converters which are used with the oxygen conversion process which is becoming broadly popular in steel production.
