The Morgan Rushworth hydraulic punching machines are available in models from 70 tonne up to 175 tonne capacity. All double punch models are equipped with a 625mm deep throat one end and a 305mm the other as standard configuration. The heavy-duty support table with adjustable backstop, universal die holder for the punching of plate, flat bar, angle iron and flange of channel and beam are all included in the standard execution. The punching machines are also available in single-ended configuration. The standard machine allows punching of up to 57mm diameter without additional equipment. The front section of the support table can be removed in order to punch angle-iron leg down. A wide range of options are available including bar bending, sheet bending and corner notching.

Creating an optimal bond between a metal plate and the silicone: that was the challenge Enbi Plastics was given by Océ Technologies, a major player in printing and copying equipment. They needed a new wiper assy; a part on the print head that prevents streaks on the paper. Because this part needs to be somewhat flexible, silicone needed to be added to a small, punched metal plate, to which screw thread is welded. This construction did not allow for a mechanical bond between the metal and silicone, which meant chemical bonding was the only option. Together with the client, the mould supplier, the silicone supplier and others, we did extensive research into the best way to achieve this bond. It showed that preparing the small metal plates was the key. After several tests, we discovered the optimal way to do this. A number of factors play a role: from how to clean and sand the plate to humidity, temperature and the time in between the steps of the process. Every detail counts!

Laser welding is a very gentle welding technique, as the heat input takes place in a locally very limited area. In this way, it is possible to reliably connect critical components with one another in a materially bonded manner, without the parts annealing. With laser welding, the two welding partners are joined together with as few gaps as possible in order to then weld them together (e.g. press-fit zones such as EloPin® puzzled at any feed or distance). The background to this is that no additional material is generally used in laser welding. Exception for build-up welding or repair welding of e.g. broken tool parts such as punches or cutting plates or injection molding tools for abrasive plastics with glass fiber filling. Product Features: • Spot welded - heavy duty construction chassis. • Natural aluminium finish - also available in painted steel with walnut side panels. • Side panels are made from solid walnut and routed out to fit over ends of chassis (pre-punched for easy mounting). • Usable surface of chassis front, back and top are reduced by roughly 7/8" (22mm) due to inset in walnut sides. • Optional bottom plates are punched with 4 holes - 3/16" diameter. • Note: The steel chassis covers (1451 Series) are NOT compatible with this series.
