Environmental testing covers a wide range of pressures that your product may be subject to and we can simulate different climatic conditions to show weaknesses in design. Testing will allow you to demonstrate your product can be used in any conditions that it may be exposed to. Medical device testing is tightly regulated due to the potential severity of an EMC or Safety failure. The term 'medical device' covers a wide range of items and we have extensive experience in testing in this area, covering items such as prosthetic limbs, hospital beds, patient monitors, TENS machines, blood pressure monitors, to name just a few. We are UKAS accredited to test for the Medical standards IEC/EN 60601-1 and IEC/EN 60601-1-2, covering the basic safety and essential performance of medical electrical equipment. As Great Britain has now left the EU, we are no longer a Notified Body for EMC and are now a UK Approved Body (No.2583). However, our wholly owned Irish subsidiary, Cranage Veritas, is a Notified Body against the 2014/30/EU EMC Directive. This means they have been designated by the EU to products for conformity before being placed on the market. Cranage Veritas can work with you to assist with CE marking, ensuring your product is compliant for the relevant directives.

Our calibration laboratory is set-up to perform measurements of impedance and insertion loss over the frequency range 20Hz to 500MHz with automated systems to offer cost-effective results. Products manufactured by Cranage EMC Technology Limited are also backed up by extensive calibration facilities for the measurement of inductance, capacitance, and resistance. Many of our products have been independently calibrated with UKAS traceability and this has served to verify our measurement results. LISN's, PLIP's and CDN's are initially supplied calibrated with results documented according to our calibration procedures. Annual re-calibration is also provided on a standard traceability basis. You would receive a bound calibration record for each product submitted with measurement results and details of procedures used. This service is quoted inclusive of return UK carriage cost and is offered on a 5 days turnaround.

Declaration of conformity is a document that certifies conformity of the products being released (released) to the requirements of statutory documents including the technical regulations of the Customs Union. Depending on the scheme applied the products conformity assessment in the form of declaring of conformity is to be performed on the basis of applicant’s own evidence and (or) evidence obtained involving the accredited test laboratory and (or) certification authority. Declaration of conformity has equal legal force with the certificate. At the applicant’s will, if provided for by the technical regulations, declaring can be substituted with certification. declaration of conformity shall be executed on a mandatory basis, the forms of voluntary products conformity declaring do not exist

The EP endurance test benches are used to test various components over a defined cycle for durability, e.g. temperature and pressure cycle tests. A high series quality requires precision and reliability. Operational and endurance tests are necessary in order to be able to demonstrably guarantee high quality. In the form of selection or random sampling tests, components are tested for fatigue and wear by means of load tests, for example under pressure and temperature changes. The tests are used for endurance stress testing of various materials and products with different pressure curves and temperatures.
