Mono Ethylene Glycol, also known as MEG is a clear, moderately viscous, hydroscopic liquid that can be used for solvent properties in custom formulations of paints, dyes, inks, and other blended products. In the clothing industry, it is used in the manufacturing of polyester fibers. Ethylene Glycol is also the main ingredient of anti-freeze which is used in the motor industry.
