Connex modules connect production equipment with the main control systems via standard interfaces. “Just in time” evaluations and production feedback are only part of the solutions. We network not only all of our own production lines via our modules but lines from other suppliers as well.

The Vareo PRO is the most ideal perfect binder for print finishing specialists and printing plants that use conventional printing modes or are engaged in digital printing. The threeclamp perfect binder with a mechanical performance of up to 1,350 cycles per hour can be loaded manually or automatically with book blocks. Whether for medium, short or ultrashort runs, right down to runs of one copy, the Vareo is an allrounder and stands for outstanding binding quality. The first book can be sold, even from book blocks consisting of individual sheets.

The Alegro perfect binder satisfies the high requirements in offset and digital printing in print runs of all sizes thanks to modern, innovative drive and control technologies. The highly flexible machine concept allows for fast configuration adjustments for the successful handling of almost all production requirements, which nowadays can change almost every hour. Separate drives, reproducible order data, and possibilities for integrating into a workflow system not only guarantee extremely short processing times along with unbeatable production costs for books, but also more capacity for additional production.

The Diamant MC for conventionally and digitally printed books produces at up to 60 cycles per minute. The motion control technology ensures shortest setup times in combination with highest flexibility, quality and productivity. This enables you to produce a maximum variety of products with the Diamant MC. The modular platform also allows individual customer solutions and generates synergy effects due to high amount of common parts with the Diamant MC Digital. Therefore the conventional bookline always benefits from the further developments of the digital bookline. This results an enormous investment protection and makes the Diamant MC the most powerful bookline with the highest degree of automation on the market!

The SigmaLine lll connects digital printing and print finishing into one unique complete system, allowing fully automated production in one pass – from the PDF file to the gathered book block, even for VDP production down to print runs of one copy. With web widths between 20” and 42” and power of up to 1,000 fpm (305 m/min), it is the most flexible, efficient and costeffective system for digital printing applications on the market.

The Alegro Digital perfect binder can be used for the perfect binding of digitally and conventionally printed products and for hybrid production. The Motion Control Technology comes into its own in the Alegro Digital and enables the precise setting of the various units to the product parameters from book to book.

Low print runs, such as reprints of books, are produced very efficiently in the highest quality with the Diamant MC Digital – whether they have rounded spines or straight spines.This allows the economic production of smallest jobs down to copyofone.

The Presto II Digital saddle stitching system enables new saddle stitching options and, in combination with digital printing, makes it possible to tap into new segments. The system enables customized magazines, catalogs and teaching materials, as well as personalized print products to be produced efficiently to high quality standards, down to print runs of one copy with variable product thicknesses. The Presto II Digital can be precisely configured for both offset as well as digital printing.

Hardcover production is featuring an increasing number of short runs. Digitally printed books and booklets are also increasing in the area of thread sewing. Therefore, bookbinders need a machine that combines digital printing with tried and tested art of book binding. The Ventura MC Digital is the ideal solution. It stands out thanks to its proven Ventura MC technology with an upstream pocket folding system and processing folder. This is a new standard for the performance, flexibility and quality of the booklet!

The RF 700 is predestined for gluing and folding threadsewn book blocks. It is used to trim and fold threadsewn book blocks and can be configured as a 30 cycles/min. line or a 70 cycles/min. line. By means of an integrated facing feed station, facing and finishing parts can be applied and glued to the book block before the gluing process. The CoPilot system offers shortest setup times and efficient operator handling. All gluing processes are available. The backlining station of the RF 700 processes according to the crosswise backlining principle. The RF 700 can be designed both in book production lines and as an offline solution.

The bookline will help you reliably produce large print runs using conventional printing processes with quick processing times. But it can also expertly handle individual products or small print runs with size changeovers from digital print products. Thanks to its userfriendliness the bookline is ideally suited as an introduction to industrial hardcover production. It provides the highest product quality even when used for a wide range of applications.

The sophisticated security features that can be achieved with Nanocrypt® technology cannot be simulated or reproduced using conventional techniques (analog or digital production technologies such as dot-matrix imaging). Forensic and machine-readable elements and structures are possible in addition to the visible security features. Holograms with Nanocrypt® technology are primarily used in high-security applications such as documents, identity cards, bank notes and bonds.
