The well known under-bonnet temperature increase has been resolved mainly by using high-performance polymers with the capability of withstanding temperatures in excess of 200°C. Some of the rubber mouldings commonly encountered in a car include O-rings, seals and grommets. Rubber mouldings are required to resist oils and greases as well as dirt, water, and weathering. Many custom rubber moulding solutions are subject to dynamic loading, including engine mounts and exhaust hangers. Applications requiring the best oil and chemical resistance and good ageing in hot fuel vapours are accommodated using high-performance fluoro (FKM) and fluorosilicone (FVMQ) elastomers. The bonding of rubber to other substrates is a crucial part of being able to offer novel solutions.

Turbo repairs. Within our turbocharger repair service, we encompass the installation of new journal bearings, thrust bearings, and seal rings, along with a thorough service overhaul. This comprehensive package also features a meticulous blasting and cleaning process for all parts that can be reclaimed. Additionally, should other components display signs of wear or at the request of the customer, we are equipped to replace them. Stainless Band work with high technology industries. Our slitting and shearing services are available at 0.10mm - 3mm thickness and from 2.50mm wide. We can cut to length from 100mm long to 4000mm long. We provide a comprehensive temper rolling and edge dressing service including deburring round edge and straightening. We have in-house bobbin winding facilities on plastic bobbins or large wooden spools and can apply protective coatings to product if required. We supply a wide range of welded exhaust tube in standard lengths of up to 6 metres, with option for custom lengths available. Grades 304 (1.4301) and 409 (1.4512) are the most standard grades, however other grades such as 439 (1.4510) and 441 (1.4509) are also available upon request. Products are generally kept in the As Welded condition however we also hold a complete range of polished material. For more difficult tube manipulations, a range of fully annealed material is also available from stock.
