Alongside traditional coated fabrics, the range includes fully transparent or pigmented polyurethane which can be reinforced with ripstop nylon scrims or textile backings. This manufacturing process provides the strength and durability required for repeated inflation and deflation cycles in a load-bearing application. When attached to the patient’s arm, the cuff needs to be easily inflatable to collapse and then release the artery in a controlled manner in order to accurately measure blood pressure.
