Many laboratory and industrial processes require a constant flow of gas to be delivered, and this is normally supplied from pressurised cylinders containing gas in liquid phase. If the level of liquid reduces fast, frosting can occur on the surface of the cylinder and flow rates can be adversely affected. Our gentle and insulated heating solutions can prevent this phenomenon and restore stability to the flow rate. This is particularly important when using calibration gases where repeatability is vital. Note that separate over-pressure safety systems should always be in place to meet health and safety requirements. We can design jackets for most cylinder sizes, with our standard “HHG” being a popular size normally available for immediate delivery. Product Specification: “K” size gas cylinder (others available to order) ATEX IECEx Certified solutions also available For more information contact LMK Thermosafe today T: +44 (0)1440 707141 E: sales@drumheating.com

Trace Heating Experts Trace heating cables provide freeze protection and temperature maintenance (or heating) to pipes – commonly referred to as electric heat tracing, surface heating or heating tapes the cables are used to protect mechanical services (pipes, vessels, tanks, hoppers, valves, drums) against cold weather damage by sub-zero temperatures and frost conditions. Thorne & Derrick International are the UK’s largest stockist and supplier of Trace Heating Systems & Heat Tracing Cables for commercial, industrial and hazardous area heating of pipework, tanks, drums and vessels in both safe, non-hazardous and hazardous area locations. Since 1985 we have been providing expert technical support, competitive prices and an international delivery service for leading manufacturers of heat trace cables including Chromalox, EasyHeat, Eltherm, Nelson and Thermon.

Our Advantage and Aspect space heating ranges are revolutionising the way businesses can heat people indoors. Infrared heat warms you directly without heating the air in between: so the heat goes where you want it to and doesn’t just convect upwards to heat the ceiling. With input power requirements of 1300 – 2600 watts these low watt-density heaters give a far higher equivalent heat output compared with hot air or gas-burning “space ray” type heating systems or other forms of electric heating often used in these environments. Additional benefits: Silent operation, without fumes – consequently raising no health and safety issues; Cheaper installation than oil or gas alternatives – all you require is electric cable; No maintenance; Zoning so heat is “focused” exactly where you want it; No red glow; Lower consumption levels.
