Wslip membrane, gas membrane, damp proof membrane, radon barrier, liquid dpm e supply and install a number of systems using polythene membrane, slip membrane from 500 gauge to Damp Proof Membrane at 1200 gauge and above. The 500G membrane performs as a separating layer rather than keeping moisture out, whereas the 1200G (and above) membranes ensure that no moisture is made available to the screed and floor coverings. Liquid damp proof membrane are suitable for moist substrates where thin screeds or floor coverings are required and where program dictates a solution is required to lay the floor coverings. H3460 marine anti slip tape is one of Heskins first marine specific products, tailor-made to be used on the open seas, on anything from pleasure crafts, to competitive boats and commercial vessels. Marine anti slip tape is the first product to be 100% guaranteed salt resistant. We felt it necessary to have this feature due to the long amounts of time this will be applied on a vessel out in the open sea, as while we and others have previously used Safety-Grip™ and our non-abrasives, with the exception of our chemical resistant Safety-Grip™, we could not guarantee full salt resistance. With a salt-resistant marine anti slip tape, we can safely guarantee that, subject to correct application on to a clean, dry surface, the service life will be exceptional. For additional guarantees, our ancillaries will only help prolong the life span of the material.

Printed Anti Slip Warning Tape is something that we receive many requests for. Many customers commonly want to make a hazardous area not only safe for foot traffic but also prominently highlighted as a risk area; most customers prefer to do this by warning text. As a bespoke print onto safety-grip requires certain minimum order quantities, we decided that the best way to stop disappointing clients would be to create a standard print that would cover most of the requests which we receive; we now have two standard prints on rolls and two on cut pieces.

Durbar plate, chequer plate, diamond tread are all commonly used, you can see them almost everywhere for fire exits, walkways, access platforms etc. It is a common misconception that the pattern provides a safe surface to walk on, unfortunately, this is not correct. Durbar plate is an extremely slippy surface, metal does not easily provide a non-slip floor (its hard surface does not attract grip) and the pattern often creates more problems than it solves (the rises result in less surface area for footwear). Many government safety websites warn of the risk of using durbar type plate in critical areas. Conformable Safety-Grip tape is the answer to the problems that irregular metal plates create. Durbar plate was previously impossible to coat with a non slip surface, a conventional non slip tape would rise up when stretched into the valleys.

H3409 bolt down, anti-slip plates are an ideal solution for application in areas where Safety-Grip tape is not suitable i.e constantly wet, loose or uneven surfaces, such as external wooden surfaces like decking. Bolt down anti-slip plates are manufactured specifically for these purposes, with countersunk eyelets for easy application, and can be fitted using screws, nails or clips.

Compared to stencilling, masking and painting, with waits in between for drying times, Heskins alter¬native, fire exit floor markings,¬ is a one-piece, adhesive appli¬cation, that takes literally minutes to apply, and can be used immediately, complete with an industry-standard anti-slip surface.

Commonly found chemicals such as water, soap solutions or many others do not pose any harm, even occasional exposure to certain petrochemicals or harsher cleaning does not affect the material. In certain, and very rare, situations the anti-slip tape could be completely submerged under a liquid that is extremely aggressive. Some of our customers use problematic solutions; these could include high concentration MEK, toluene, acids, alkalis etc. For almost all applications our conventional Safety-Grip range performs brilliantly. In a small number of applications one of two situations can cause problems; 1. Chemical retention In this situation mild chemicals such as basic cleaning agents mixed with water and are trapped on the surface on the anti-slip tape with no way of escaping, the fluids form a reservoir and with no form of dissipation, over time, they can damage the resins that hold the minerals onto the plastic film.

Mild abrasive Safety-Grip tape features the mildest anti-slip coating we have ever manufactured. While still having 100% coverage, the granules applied to the surface are far smaller than others in our range. This results in low peak to valley measurement, which is beneficial and more desirable in some applications.

Our current crop of anti-slip materials are strong enough to withstand industrial use and more, but for a long time, we have had various customers asking us to produce very thick anti-slip materials for their application requirements, but achieving this has always created many production obstacles. In early 2015, we made the decision to produce very thick anti-slip tape measuring 2mm in depth! This has involved us modifying the necessary production machinery to be able to handle the additional thickness this material has, investing in a new range of crush cut blade holders to ensure we can create our thick Safety-Grip products to the same level of consistent quality as with our current range of anti-slip tapes.

Adding a thicker backing liner to our anti-slip tape reduces the chance of creases and air pockets during large sheet application, resulting in a more hassle-free application and a better finish.

H3402NUC X-Coarse uses a rare and very big type of aluminium oxide granule. The grit is so heavy that it requires a special plastic film to be able to carry it without splitting. The plastic film is coated with a high tack adhesive (HG), the adhesive is designed to adhere to often difficult substrates such as low energy powder coat that are notoriously problematic for normal adhesives.

The grit is still the same substance, aluminium oxide; but the difference is the grit granules are larger with deeper valleys and higher peaks. A deep anti-slip coating helps to prevent clogging with dirt, dust, ice etc. A deeper grit provides great durability.

Our Ribbed Rubber (type) Anti Slip Tape (H3435) is our second symmetrical non-abrasive anti slip material. H3418 was our first symmetrical product, due to its popularity we decided to develop the concept further. We often get asked if we can produce rubber anti slip materials. Natural products such as rubber and cork create problems with our quality control procedures, natural products vary from batch to batch, each inconsistency, however small, can create major problems when trying to coat the product with adhesives or choose the correct slitting machine recipe.

Our first non-abrasive glow in the dark antislip tape has benefitted from new technology that allows us to prolong the luminance of our material, meaning it will stay brighter in a lights out situation, for longer. High-quality glow in the dark antislip tape is the first in new, unique innovations in our photoluminescent products. High-quality glow in the dark antislip tape is suitable for many applications, particularly for internal areas such as stairways and walkways which are used as specific exit routes, wherein a lights out situation, the exit is clearly indicated, even from rooms higher up in a building.

Glow in the dark hazard anti slip tape is a simple variation of our glow in the dark antislip tape. Printed chevrons on top give an extended purpose in allowing it to serve as a warning tape in any lighting condition also. Afterglow performance is highly visible due to two levels of photoluminescent coating: • The plastic liner is photoluminescent. • The flexible resin that allows the grit to hold

Heskins first produced (photoluminescent) glow in the dark antislip tape in 1998. Back then we thought it was novel and would be of limited interest, there was nothing else similar. How wrong we were, it is now a very popular material. To ensure that our glow in the dark grip tape is highly visible and effective it possesses two separate levels of photoluminescent coatings.

Coarse resilient tape is perfect for areas that need a non-slip surface, however, it is perfect for barefoot traffic and areas exposed to water, such as gym washrooms, swimming pools and boats. Due to coarse resilient being waterproof and non-abrasive, it will cater to both of these. Coarse resilient anti slip tape is an embossed plastic film, which while being non-abrasive still possesses high levels of CoF (coefficient of friction). Using the embossing technique on most of our non-abrasive materials, this creates an excellent surface texture which has high levels of CoF. Using a technique of micro blowing while the material is still molten can create deep troughs and valleys, which can increase levels of CoF. A deeper pattern allows for less clogging by contaminants such as dust, ice, water etc.

Solid top GRP panels are made of standard open mesh grating finished with a solid 3mm top plate. The top plate is gritted, creating an anti-slip surface ideal for pedestrian use. High strength and lightweight, they are often specified over open mesh gratings for safety reasons, such as preventing contamination to surfaces below. The closed top also creates an easier surface to walk over, particularly for wheels. GRP Anti-Slip Plate is a lightweight, non-corrosive product and can withstand extreme weather conditions, making it ideal for a range of environments. The plate is available with a fine or medium gritted top, depending on the application. The gritted plate provides an effective anti-slip surface and can be used to create a safe walkway in hazardous environments.
