In patients with coronary heart disease, stents are implanted in order to open narrowed arteries during a procedure called percutaneous coronary intervention, or angioplasty. Heart stents can also help relieve chest pain and aid in the prevention of heart attacks. Ever since our tubing was used in the earliest cardiac stent implants in 1987, Superior Tube has been an industry leader in the manufacture of implant grade tubing for both coronary and peripheral stents.
