The FAI inspection takes place at factory floor right after the manufacturer starts producing the first mass production samples. A complete, independent, and documented physical and functional inspection process is conducted. What do we check during a First Article Inspection (FAI)? The purpose of the Defect Sorting service( DSS) also call Full Inspection is to sort out as many products as possible that have known issues (ex: specific cosmetic defects, function problems, or packing imperfections, etc.) during the number of man-days allocated. Other checks will not be done during this inspection. This service ensures each piece of finished products meets specified quality requirements that from customer. Sorting Inspection puts one engineer and several operators onsite perform 100% inspection, to ensure each piece can meet client’s requirement, all defect ones will be sort out.
