Over the last few years, we at EP-E have designed and introduced a series of primary standards for gases, designed for use in calibration laboratories. As a technology partner of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig, our solutions are based on the highest standards. The EP gas bell plungers generate a volume flow which is traceable to the SI units length and time. The pistons are driven by a stepper motor via a spindle. In the initial state one piston is fully retracted and the other fully extended. The volume flow can be set with high precision via the piston cross section and the travel speed. At the end of the calibration process, both pistons are in the opposite position to the initial position. The calibration device is preferably operated with air, which can be supplied with up to 6 bar. The EP gas bell pistons convince by highest measuring accuracy up to 0.15% (k=2).

with adjustable humidity and temperature to simulate the environmental conditions of a test specimen (e.g. household appliances, heating technology) The basis is a standard or climatic chamber (e.g. test kitchen, environmental simulation) with adjustable air humidity and temperature. On the basis of decades of experience in automotive test engineering, EP-E developed a concept in which the air flows in a circle (loop design). The result is a very excellent homogeneous temperature and humidity distribution. Through precise temperature and humidity control, it is possible to set different combinations of air conditioning and thus precisely adjust the required test conditions. The determination of the air flow (exhaust air volume) is carried out via a measuring section with the use of Laminar Flow Elements (LFEs). In order to determine the volume flow, pressure and temperature sensors are used to determine the air volume flow of the climatic chamber(s).

The EP endurance test benches are used to test various components over a defined cycle for durability, e.g. temperature and pressure cycle tests. A high series quality requires precision and reliability. Operational and endurance tests are necessary in order to be able to demonstrably guarantee high quality. In the form of selection or random sampling tests, components are tested for fatigue and wear by means of load tests, for example under pressure and temperature changes. The tests are used for endurance stress testing of various materials and products with different pressure curves and temperatures. We build test benches according to your requirements: e.g. for long-term or short-term tests, under static or pulsating test conditions and depending on other factors. Present us your requirements!

The test bench is designed for calibration with critically operated nozzles of domestic gas meters or others such as diaphragm gas meters, ultrasonic meters, thermoelectric gas meters. The test bench is specially designed for the calibration of domestic gas meters (bellows gas meters, ultrasonic meters, thermoelectric gas meters). The test bench is modular - 1x6 to 4x6 clamping positions for the gas meters can be combined. Due to the modular design 1 to 12 gas meters can be tested simultaneously. In parallel, up to twelve additional test pieces can be adapted, run in and leak tested. A magazine consisting of three critical nozzles is used as flow transmitter. Optionally, a nozzle drum with nine combinable nozzles can be used. This allows the generation of up to 512 different flow points with highest accuracy.

We offer you standardised complete systems for the measurement of volume & mass flows. The EP LMF®-LaminarMasterFlow® is a complete system for high-precision flow measurement of gases and air. The LMF® system consists of a flow processor, a Laminar Flow Element (LFE) as measuring section, a cable set and a sensor package. The flow measurement is performed by means of Laminar Flow Elements (LFE), which are available in different sizes and cover a measuring range from 0.01 to 700 m³/h. (optionally up to 4000 m³/h).
