Novelis Advanz™ 7UHS – s701 is a product developed for structural applications requiring high inservice strength. The 7xxx alloy provides the highest T6 strength among current aluminum alloys and has significantly higher strength over incumbent 6xxx alloys. This in turn offers potential for lightweighting of structural parts over advanced high strength steel options without compromising performance requirements. The alloy-temper can be optimized to provide good balance between strength, crash performance and corrosion resistance. Advanz™ 7UHS – s701 is an excellent choice for strength-dominated structural components, such as A-pillar, B-pillar, door beams as well as various other structural reinforcements. This product exhibits excellent specific strength and specific energy absorption along with good hot formability making it an ideal material for lightweighting of structural reinforcements. Novelis Advanz™ 6HS s650 is Novelis’ latest offering to the high strength 6xxx series and caters to structural applications requiring high in-service strength. A tailor-made alloy, specifically designed for high strength requirements without compromising its forming characteristics, Novelis Advanz™ s650 has a 15-20% T6 strength advantage over incumbent high strength 6xxx, coupled with excellent crash behavior and corrosion resistance. Predominantly an alloy of choice for structural parts with high demand on forming and high strength after paint bake, typical areas of application are A-pillar, B pillar, roof traverse, rocker, inner and floor panels, bumpers and battery cases along with various other structural reinforcements. This product exhibits excellent after paint bake response which in turn provides high in-service strength making it an ideal material for light weighting of structural components. Novelis specialty aluminum offers a range of possibilities for interior and decorative designs. The light weight and flexibility make it ideal for use in aluminum ceiling panels. Smooth or perforated, Novelis pre-painted products can be used for aluminum ceiling panels, grid ceilings, long panel cassettes, lamp grid elements, substructure partitions, aluminum decorative panels and support rails. The aluminum also can be combined with other materials to achieve excellent acoustic absorbance. With the modular production of aluminum ceiling tiles, if there’s ever any damage, only that area requires replacement, making maintenance simple and more cost-effective.
