Greenwood Power was founded by Willibald Bacher and Norbert Juschicz in February 2017. Its main area of focus is the development, manufacturing and distribution of innovative current and voltage sensors for gas- and air-insulated local grid stations. Greenwood Power therefore provides key components for the future smart grid. Our products are compact and designed for local grid stations. We can manufacture sensors more cost-effectively than our competitors thanks to the application and further development of simple electrotechnical principles, such as with the resistive voltage divider for the voltage sensor and the inductive toroidal transformer closed with a shunt.

The A240F-16K is a high voltage coupling capacitance dedicated for Power-line-carrier communication. It is used in outdoor applications, usually on poles. Inside of the product is a big capacitance of over 10nF, which makes the communication through the network possible.

The temperature sensor system is made for solving a big problem in switchgears. It is modular and can be used in cable compartments of gas insulated switchgears or even in air insulated switchgears, directly on the medium voltage busbars to monitor temperature rises, especially in busbar conjunction points. The system could be delivered with wired cost efficient solutions for low voltage applications or on medium voltage cables or completely galvanic separated with a Power over fiber connection from the base station to the temperature sensors directly attached to the primary busbar.

The pressure transmitters of the 4LC series use the chip-in-oil developed by KELLER, uniting a pressure measuring cell, digital temperature compensation and signal processing in a compact housing made of stainless steel or Hastelloy. The transmitters are extremely resistant to environmental influences and deliver compensated measurement results as an analog, ratiometric 0,5...4,5V output signal over a wide temperature range.

The front-flush pressure transmitters of the 35X-Ed series use digital compensation with a mathematical model to achieve exceptional accuracy of 0,05 %FS – in the temperature range from 10 to 40 °C, this value even corresponds to the total error band. In addition to the digital RS485 interface, the X-line transmitters have a rangeable, analog current or voltage output. Pressure-proof housing – suitable for use in explosive atmospheres.
