It used to be a complex and costly affair producing details made of thermoplastic that showed soft-touch qualities or had integrated seals. With our Dryflex and Lifoflex adhesion TPEs, since the materials are bonded together at the production stage, no separate primer or adhesive is needed. This makes the process faster and more cost-effective. Our Dryflex and Lifoflex adhesion grades form excellent bonds onto PP, PE, PA, ABS, PC, PS, PMMA, ASA, SAN and their blends Adhesion to Polyamide (PA) There are many advantages in using PA, including high temperature resistance, very high strength, a matt surface and excellent stiffness and impact resistance. When combined with our TPE adhesion grades, customers enjoy the properties of both materials in one and the same product. Adhesion to ABS & Polycarbonate ABS, Polycarbonate and blends of the two are strong, particularly impact-resistant materials, with transparent options available. When combined with Dryflex or Lifoflex adhesion gr

We have engineered a range of TPE compounds specifically designed to address the requirements for automotive mats - the Dryflex AM range. These materials combine the performance of thermoset rubbers with the processability of plastics. Applications for Dryflex AM materials include floor mats, trunk liners, coin mats, fascia mats and trim. For automotive floor mats the materials needs to have high scratch and abrasion resistance. It is also critical that the material is non-slip, even when wet. The material structure of Dryflex AM compounds produces the surface finish and high friction required. Dryflex AM materials are low odour and fogging. They require no vulcanisation and are 100% recyclable during production, making them easier to process than vulcanised EPDM with fewer steps. This means less energy is used and production is faster and more cost-efficient. Benefits of Dryflex AM TPEs Low odour Low fogging Lightweight 100% recyclable - 0% waste Easy to process with short cycle tim

Hygiene is a growing concern in today’s society. Preventing the spread of harmful bacteria and the safe protection of everyday products in hospitals, public places or at home is highly valued by customers. Dryflex antimicrobial TPEs attack micro-organisms at source, helping prevent problems before they occur. Samples have been independently tested and proven to kill >99.9% of gram positive and negative bacteria when tested by the recognised ISO 22196 test method. They are effective against MRSA, E-Coli, Pseudomonas Aeroginosa and Salmonella and many other harmful bacteria. Some bacteria can also adversely affect everyday products causing stains, embrittlement, odours and product deterioration. Dryflex antimicrobial TPE can help to prevent these issues and extend the service life of the finished product. As the antimicrobial treatment is formulated into the compound at the time of manufacture; the antimicrobial activity is consistent throughout the TPE and not solely on the surface. Pe

Dryflex C is a range of conductive TPEs, suitable for applications such as grips, handles and elements for electrical tools and appliances. Download the Dryflex C Product Guide C1 Series The C1 Series consists of materials in natural colours that can be easily coloured in any shade. The compounds have a permanent antistatic / ESD effect and a surface resistivity down to 108Ω C3 Series The most conductive materials are the C3 series with a surface resistivity down to 103Ω. Due to the conductive additive, carbon black, the materials are only available in black. The UV and ozone resistance exhibited by the C3 Series are excellent.

Dryflex CS is a range of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds, based on SEBS. The range has been engineered to deliver optimised compression set performance. The raw materials used to manufacture Dryflex CS compounds are compliant with major food contact regulations (food contact statements available on request). The compounds also offer excellent organoleptic performance. What is Compression Set? Compression set is the measure of permanent deformation remaining when an applied force is removed. A TPE sample is compressed to a specific deformation, for a specified time and at a specific temperature. The compression set value is the percentage of the sample that fails to recover to its original height and is an important performance indicator for applications such as seals, flexible connectors and gaskets. For a 40 shore A hardness TPE, typical compression set values are 65 to 70 percent, with the Dryflex CS range this is reduced to 40 percent (22 hours at 100 degree). Key Chara

Due to their efficient processing, high performance and recyclability, Dryflex TPE compounds have proved themselves as a quality replacement for vulcanised rubber in window and door sealing applications. Colour and co-extrusion have further enhanced the design possibilities. We develop custom formulated materials which deal with the design, performance and environmental needs of the future. Dryflex TPEs are totally recyclable and can be reprocessed and regenerated to produce functional gasket products. We have developed trade standard grades, including compounds developed to meet the requirements of BS 7412:2002 Class A or B standard and are suitable for ‘static’ (Class A) or ‘dynamic’ (Class B) applications. As well as grades that meet the requirements of RAL GZ 716/1, Class IV (and Class V) standard. Our Dryflex Extrusion range also includes translucent, foamable, rigid and semi-rigid compounds. What is Dryflex Green? Dryflex Green is a family of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds containing raw materials from renewable resources such as plant and vegetable crops. So far we have developed several series with amounts of renewable content to over 70% (ASTM D 6866) with hardnesses from 50 to 80 Shore A. Why use biobased? Plastics are predominantly a by-product of oil, a diminishing resource. We are therefore seeing increasing demands to look at how we can work with biobased, renewable materials and bring new opportunities for sustainability. Utilising raw materials that are derived from renewable vegetable crops, that are responsibly grown, can contribute to an improved LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), which measures the environmental impact of all stages a product’s life from cradle to grave. Crops for industrial use can be grown in poor soil which is unsuited to food crops, avoiding food crop displacement and improving biodiversity. The planting of these crops can also hel

We are successfully helping to convert a rapidly growing plastics waste stream into new life plastic products with our Dryflex TPE compounds based on Post Consumer Waste. The thermoplastic elastomer materials were developed to address demands in the automotive industry, which is obliged to use increasing quantities of post consumer waste and operate under the EU ELV Directive to ensure recyclability at the end of each vehicle’s life. The materials contain a high volume of post consumer waste from 33% to 80% by weight. Recyclate consists of polypropylene drawn from automotive mouldings, which are cleaned and re-ground and rubber tyre crumb from both OEM and after market tyres. Apart from the obvious benefit of recycling, the material exhibits other advantages when compared with virgin materials particularly its superior Ultra Violet, and weathering resistance and sound reduction properties. Introduction Dryflex PS are a range of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds designed for seals and pipe joints used in waste water applications. What are TPEs? TPEs are a family of polymer compounds which display elastic and rubber-like properties at their service temperature. Like thermoplastics, when heated and with the application of shear force, TPEs become free-flowing and when cooled regain their original structure and stability. Unlike the chemical cross-linking which occurs in thermoset rubbers, TPE involves purely physical cross-linking, which can be reversed via the further application of heat, this makes it possible to re-use all production waste and end of life products can be easily reprocessed. Product Assurance We support our customers by proving the performance of our products via relevant testing and working with industry standards. The Dryflex PS grades meet the requirements of EN 681-2:2000, the European Standard EN 681-2, Type WT. This testing allows our cus
