Replacing pneumatic cylinders with electric linear drives can save up to 90 % of energy consumption. In addition, there are numerous advantages in motion control. EleCylinder are electric cylinders with motor, encoder and integrated controller. These energy-saving actuators are extremely easy to use and operation via data input requires no complicated programming. Start and end points can be set to any position. Due to the high-speed movements, EleCylinders are ideally suited for short cycle times. Unlike pneumatic cylinders, they can also perform slow uniform speeds over the entire stroke. Even gentle starting or braking are no longer a problem. EleCylinder are repairable easily and have only a few maintenance parts.

Short-stroke Actuators in Smallest Sizes The overall length, width and height of Mini-RoboCylinders are comparable to the sizes of pneumatic cylinders. Moreover, they also work with the same control signals. A changeover to pneumatic-free automation is therefore quick and easy. In addition to the standard version, mini actuators cylinders are also available for cleanrooms and as IP-protected models for dusty or wet production environments.

Small mini rod types from IAI replace pneumatic cylinders with ease due to their identical design and simple control mode. They are used as electromechanical positioning systems for assembly devices as well as for lifting, lowering, pressing or clamping of workpieces by many manufacturing companies. In the RCP3 series, the smallest models are available as rod types with sliding or recirculating ball screws. The latest developments are the numerous space-saving mini rod types of the RCA2 series with 24 V servo motor or the RCS2 series with 230 V servo motor.

n the micro and micro-drive sector, IAI offers small mini slider types that easily replace pneumatic cylinders due to their identical design and simple control mode. They are suitable for mounting fixtures, workpiece positioning, table motion and many other applications. In the RCP3 series, the smallest models are available as a slider types with sliding spindle. The latest developments are the space-saving mini slider types of the RCA2 series with 24 V servo motor.

Space-saving electric mini slide table actuators from IAI are used as positioning systems in many manufacturing companies. They are suitable for lifting, lowering, pressing and clamping workpieces as well as for horizontal movements and many other assembly devices. The mini slide table types are available in narrow, wide or flat design. The built-in guide eliminates the need for an external one, which saves assembly space. The latest developments are the miniature slide table types of the RCA2 series with 24V servo motor or the RCS2 series with 230V servo motor.

Micro Cylinder with only 14 mm Cross-section The ultra-compact RCD micro cylinder is a rod type with a length of only 52 to 72 mm and a width of only 12 mm. The motor-driven micro cylinder is designed for applications with low load and power requirements. It can be used for short strokes, press mounting, lifting and lowering and many other applications. The micro linear cylinder with 24 VDC miniature motor for a maximum payload of 0.7 kg is available for stroke lengths of 10, 20 and 30 mm. The small 2.5 W motor has a rated thrust of 4.2 N and a speed of up to 300 mm/s at an acceleration of up to 9.81 m/s.

Electric linear actuators from IAI are available as rod, slider and slide table types as well as with toothed belt drive. They are equipped with a stepper motor or servo motor and often already have a battery-free absolute encoder as standard. On request, they can also be supplied without an electric drive unit. The product range of linear actuators consists of the RoboCylinder series, which are characterised by high user-friendliness, simple programming as well as compact design. Their focus is on covering common customer requirements and are therefore relatively inexpensive. Electric slider type actuators and axes with toothed belt drive from the IntelligentActuators product line complete the product portfolio. They meet higher requirements than RoboCylinders in terms of payload, speed, acceleration and precision.

The linear rod type actuators from the RoboCylinder series are available with 24V stepper motor, 24V servo motor or 230V servo motor. They are characterized by their compact design, mechanical stability and high positioning accuracy of up to ± 5 μm. The linear actuators are available in two design variants: As a directly driven rod type with motor in extension of the cylinder longitudinal axis and as a shorter variant with deflection, in which the motor and axis are parallel to each other. Both variants are also suitable as heavy-duty electric actuators for high payloads. In addition to the standard version, many linear actuators are also available as cleanroom versions and for special environmental conditions also as dustproof, splashproof or waterproof models with IP54 to IP67 protection.
