Explosionproof/flameproof gas preheater EEx d -ATEX und IECEx zertifiziert In general a cooling down takes place at expansion of gases whilst a heating takes place at compression. Typical gases are carbon monoxide, natural gas and air. The temperature change, which occurs at expansion of gas or gas mixture from a high to low pressure i.e. after a gas pressure control is called Joule-Thomson effect. In order to prevent the effects of Joule-Thomson as icing or condensate separation, the gas will be heated up before expansion. The gas pre heaters are suitable for all kind of gaseous media (i.e. air, natural gas, technical gases, fuel gas) and low flow process applications, suitable for pressures up to 300 bar. The “Cast electric heaters” type flameproof electrical gas pre heaters are certified for use in zone 1 or 2 hazardous area, custom built to meet client specification. The gas pre heater consists of a process tube coil and an electrical heating bundle, casted in aluminium. The process gas flows through the tube coil and is heated by the aluminium block that provides the heat transfer. This indirect electric heating gives an accurate control of the process and eliminates pressure vessel design and associated costs.

Electric Air heater Electrical air heater type “LEH-A” are intended for the heating of gaseous media. The main applications are the heating of air in ventilation - / air conditioning or heat-recovery installations. Wide use areas are applications of the process - / environment-technology i.e. at the catalytic afterburning of exhaust fumes or drying ovens or in the plastic - / textile or paper industry. Through a variable construction concept, diverse use possibilities emerge. The application of highly compacted electrical heating elements with high purity compacted magnesium oxide powder sheathed metal tube and the direct heat transfer at the medium to be heated leads to an efficient realization of the electric energy to thermal energy. Control Panels for electrical process heaters OhmEx has extensive experience in the design of heater control systems and requirements for ‘load splitting’. Loads can also be divided into stages to give thyristor control and in addition combinations of thyristor and contactor control can be supplied to provide a fully synchronised system and limit impact on the power generating system. We can recommend cost-effective solutions to clients, outline requirements, or work to detailed specifications. In-house design facilities are supported by experienced engineers, backed-up by modern CAD facilities. OhmEx adopts an integrated project management approach to each contract, which provides effective co-ordination of design, procurement, manufacture, test and, where required, commissioning. Attention is paid to ensuring that each system is built to the demanding standards of our client, the environment and current legislation. Each control system is fully function-tested for correct operation, as a standard. Each test is simulated using the correct type of input signals to avoid start up and commissioning problems.
