The story of ChèvrArdennes began in the 1970's when an experimental factory was set up dedicated to the production of goat's cheese in Bastogne, in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. The plant was then taken over by Vache Bleue, enabling it to benefit from the Loicq family's expertise and know-how. In 2005 ChèvrArdennes moved to its current Nivelles site. We are focussed on total quality: milk always arrives at Vielsam (Ardennes) where it is also pasteurised. One of the secrets of our cheeses' taste, is our deliberate choice to produce locally in the Ardennes which favours the well-being of milk goats chosen by ChèvrArdennes, one of the keys to producing better milk … and therefore a delicious cheese. ChèvrArdennes's production enjoys European BRC certification and is constantly developing namely with new markets outside Belgium.
