Our estate is located in a protected, fertile environment close to Sables d'Olonne. Veillon beach, one of the region's outstanding sites, is just 10 kilometres from us. The beach is a natural treasure recognized by countless certifications, including the prestigious Natura 2000. It borders an inlet that extends up as far as the oyster port at Guittière and is enveloped by sand dunes, pine forests and sea air. Our love of botany and green chemistry led us to create a pilot farm run on organic principles. We select different varieties of plant that we carefully cultivate then harvest at just the moment when the flowers are in full bloom. We use plant species that are selected with great care for their power and quality. We respect the plants' natural cycles, with no added chemical molecules. Our seeds are qualified as organically grown PPAMs (Perfume, Aromatic and Medicinal plants). They are sorted and dried near our farm, which enables us to respond to all demands quickly, including special demands. Thus, our seeds are ready to be packed in 850–1000 kg big bags and loose. SAS VENTOUX EPEAUTRE is a grower of 100%-French einkorn wheat in the traditional manner. The company grows and collects einkorn wheat from the region where this cereal originates, around Mount Ventoux and in Alpes de Haute Provence, Drôme and Vaucluse. Einkorn wheat is grown in rotation with scented and aromatic plants and fodder, and it requires no additional inputs. This means that our production is totally natural. After each harvest, seeds are stored in silos with no additives. Next comes husking, which simply involves removing the skin around the seed. To ensure a clean product, a suction system then removes chaff and all other matter lighter than the seed. A set of grilles then remove everything longer or shorter than the seed. Then, an optical scanner is used to remove any remaining unsuitable seeds. The final stage is quality control!
