It contains a variety of different probes with variable parameters, such as our Bluetooth Crystal Wireless Probe, which represents the current high point of our gamma probe developments. Furthermore, we are currently working with the nuclear medicine institutes of Dresden and Leipzig universities to develop one of the first, small-scale imaging systems for the sentinel lymph node method – the CrystalCam hand-held gamma camera – as part of a project supported by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Besides many more patents, three key principles led to a technical and scientific breakthrough in temperature measurement technology. The first is the thermoelectric principle which redefined the way thermoelectric voltage is created. In a nutshell, the highest voltage occurs with the highest temperature gradients. The second principle concerns drift of the thermocouples, which had until then presented a significant problem in heat-treatment processes. Dr. Körtvélyessy changed the diameter of the two thermocouples. Ageing still occurs but now both wires age at the same pace so that the correct thermoelectric voltage is always produced. The third principle is the introduction of very thin and separate ceramic protective tubes into a connecting head in contrast to the thick ceramic protective tubes, which were common then and still are, and the introduction of an empty tube, which is fitted with a test thermocouple for checking purposes.

"Fake weed" Synthetic marijuana, often known as K2 or Spice, is a herbal drug sold as incense or smoking material in the United States that is still legal. The goods include one or more synthetic chemicals that operate similarly to & Delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the principal psychoactive ingredient of marijuana. The most prevalent component identified in these items is the eponymous JWH-018, which was initially synthesized by Prof John W Huffman, a well-known Clemson University organic chemist. An analog of CP-47, 497, a cannabinoid produced by Pfizer over 20 years ago, is discovered in Spice products sold in Germany. JWH-018, also known as (1-pentyl-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole) or Naphthalen-1-yl-(1-pentylindol-3-yl)methanone, is one of more than 100 indoles, pyrroles, and indenes created by the Huffman laboratory to develop cannabimimetic, or medications that imitate the action of cannabinoids like T The fundamental purpose of these investigations was to develop pharmacological probes to 1) discover the structure-activity connections of these compounds and 2) elucidate the physiological function of the two subtypes of cannabinoid receptors that humans have: CB1 and CB2.
