It was founded in 1924 as a distributor of printing blankets, under the name Birkner & Kandlbinder OHG, with its own patent for Triumph rubber printing blankets ‒ revolutionary technology at the time. BIRKAN continues to enjoy success with its offset printing blankets, produced in-house and exported to over 100 countries worldwide. BIRKAN carries a comprehensive range of printing blankets to meet different quality requirements, suitable not only for common offset applications but also for specialised requirements in plastics, metal and intaglio printing. Our range also includes underpacking materials (sheets, foils, press boards and blankets) and measuring equipment. Our extensive inventory allows us to deliver promptly around the world. We have specialised in the production of heating and cooling plates for hydraulic presses for decades. Our experience in this area has made us the leading manufacturer-independent supplier on the European market.
