You mainly need to ensure that you do not operate it at a higher V/Hz (50Hz or 60Hz) ratio Than it was designed for. 1) That you should be able to use the same frequency converter at 60Hz, and even at 20% higher nominal rating, due to increased voltage, keeping currents the same. 2) Reduce cooling from the same 50Hz/60Hz motors. I would prefer to order new fan blades, or reduce the blade angle a little, and at the same time cut the tips off, to make a smaller diameter motor. But I would leave this bit to the experts! There should not be any problems in reverse the whole set-up, using a frequency converter designed for 60Hz in a 50Hz application, as long as you reduce the voltages by the appropriate 16.67 percent. You just have to ensure cooling is still adequate. GoHz is of course the easiest to handle in both cases (no fans to play around with).

50Hz/60Hz frequency converters have been used to accept 220 volt single phase and will output 3 phase but need to be derated for the higher input phase currents. You statement does not provide any parameters such as voltage/capacity/application that would help in pointing towards a potential solution. A GoHz 110V 60Hz to 220V 50Hz converter can be created by connecting two phases of a 3 phase motor (unloaded) to a single phase source and connecting the correct amount of capacitance between the two phases of power and the third phase of the three phase motor. Output is determined by the 3 phase motor HP. If the 60Hz 50Hz frequency converter manufacturer won't give you his blessing then you're stuck, you're going to have to qualify that piece yourself if it must be in constant contact with the oil.
