We offer round, short-stroke, compact, profiled barrel cylinders and piston rod-free drives. In addition you will find here a whole range of sensors, fastening parts and accessories. Our piston rod cylinders are fabricated according to various ISO standards and are available in single-acting or double-acting design. They are suitable for filtered, unoiled or oiled compressed air.

Flow monitoring Flow monitoring is a procedure that demands a reliable and reproducible surveillance of limit values and flow patterns. Flow sensors detect critical deviations of the flow rate of liquid and gaseous media. Typical areas of application are the monitoring of cooling circuits in welding applications for example, protection against dry running of pumps, as well as the flow monitoring in air ducts and air conditioning equipment. Because of the calorimetric mode the media temperature is also monitored. Flow rate measurement In addition to reproducibility, flow-rate measurement demands a defined degree of accuracy. The flow meters continuously and accurately measure a defined volume of a fluid per unit of time and are suitable for applications where qualitatively consistent process results and a steady supply of fluids is essential. We offer flow meters with calorimetric, magnetic-inductive and Vortex measurement principle for various areas of application.

The new QuellTech Q5 Laser Scanner Series combines the advantages of small form factors with both high resolution and scan rate. The sensor disposes of different set-up possibilities with respect to the analysis algorithm. Measurement results are delivered via Ethernet, calibrated in the X / Z plane. Special adjustable algorithms can be selected, extremely useful particularly also for optically most demanding surfaces. Time-consuming calibration tasks for the user are no more required, as the calibration routine runs on board. Thanks to its increased flexibility, it can be used for several tasks also in complex projects. The dimensions of the ultra-compact version amount to only 86x40x25, at a weight of 140 g. Protective panes and cooling modules are available as an option. The Q4 laser sensor model enables users to obtain stable measuring results also on difficult surfaces, whether mirroring or transparent. The QS-View Standard Software comprises a comprehensive selection of application modules, to be invoked at once without previous programming steps. Customized adaptations are possible any time.

For common environments, connection is established via GIGE interface and GeniCam. Integration with linear axes and robots is possible by means of encoder inputs and trigger option.

QuellTech Solution: The performance of a manual inspection cannot be compared with the speed and the repeatability of a contactless QuellTech Q4-1000 laser scanner. It is even possible to install several instruments in parallel to cover the whole width of the ingot with one single scan. These instruments are mounted on an existing portal and correctly synchronized, so that interaction of the laser light originating from the other scanners is excluded. The QuellTech laser line scanners produce 3D point cloud of the raw ingot surface, and the software calculates the coordinates of the highest and deepest levels of this surface. After scalping the flat surface can be scanned again for any defects. Benefits for the Client: Thanks to QuellTech’s wide area laser line scanners, the cycle times for ingot scalping could considerably be reduced, and excessive material scrap due to a too low scalping level is prevented.

Our product portfolio guarantees maximum flexibility for temperature measurement. The temperature sensors of the TS series offer tailor-made solutions by simple programming, flexible process connections and displays. The TTM/TTMS series includes a number of compact sensors - optionally with integrated probe or with M12 connector for separate probes. The T-Gage infrared sensors contactlessly measure temperatures from 0 to 300 °C. The TP-series includes temperature probes in various lengths and diameters.

Our pressure sensors detect relative or absolute pressures in liquids and gases. The PS series offers pressure sensors with display and various output variants (switching and analog output) and communication via IO-Link. The PT series includes pressure sensors without display with analog output for media temperatures up to -125 °C. The PC series offers communication via IO-Link. The sensors of the PK-series are especially designed for pneumatic and vacuum applications.

Our rugged inclinometers of the Q20L60 and Q42 series capture almost any inclination and can also be used in systems implementing fast motions or subjected to shocks. We offer sensors for angular ranges of ±10°, ±45°, ±60° and ±85° as well as with freely selectable measuring range 0…360°. The following output variants are available: 4…20 mA, 0.1…4.9 V, 0…10 V, PNP/NPN window as NC or NO contact, IO-Link, CANopen.

The inductive linear position sensors of the Ri series operate contactless and wear-free according to a new, revolutionary measuring principle: The angular position is not detected via a positioning magnet but via an oscillating RLC circuit. The sensors are thus completely immune to magnetic fields such as generated by large motors for example. The measuring range of the rugged angle sensors is 360°. As starting variants analog voltage or current outputs and switching outputs are available.

The contactless encoder Ri360P-QR24 makes no compromises in terms of ruggedness and resolution and is suited for all those applications where rotation speeds, sense, position, angle and lengths have to be captured. Our portfolio also provides encoders in a wide variety of designs, graduated in a range of sizes from 24 up to 102 mm diameter, as versions for incremental or absolute position detection, as hollow or solid shaft variants. They fulfill different positioning tasks with a resolution of up to 18 bits (absolute encoders) and of up to 36,000 pulses per revolution (incremental encoders).

The radar sensors of the QT50 and Q120 series can be used under almost all environmental and climatic conditions. They use FMCW technology (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) to detect stationary and moving objects, such as cranes, cars, trains, trucks and cargo.

Pick-to-light systems control and monitor commissioning, configuration and installation processes. For example, the light screen located in front of a picking bin captures the hand of the operator and reports removal back to the control. Then job lights indicate in which bin the operator has to reach next. Pick-to-light solutions are available in various versions, also for direct mounting on picking bins.

Ultrasonic sensors detect a multitude of objects contactless and wear-free with ultrasonic waves. It does not matter whether the object is transparent or opaque, metallic or non-metallic, firm, liquid or powdery. Our ultrasonic sensors are available in many different designs, ranges, cone angles and output types. Most of them feature temperature compensation, noise suppression and a connection cable for auto-synchronization.

Capacitive sensors work contactless, reactionless and wear-free. Thanks to their high sensitivity and the ability to detect electrically conductive as well as non-conductive objects, they can be used in many different applications. They even detect levels of liquids or solids. In addition to position measurement, further important application areas are overflow protection, dry run protection of pumps and leakage detection.

Defects to be examined in this application are very small, their size is often lower than 0.5 mm – hard to discover by human eye. Rework in the course of the production of the final product however, proves to be complicated and expensive. Large rolls with a diameter of 2 m and a length of 10 m are very difficult to remove and to reinstall. In order to avoid corresponding inconveniencies, it is essential to support the manufacturing process of the rolls themselves by a reliable quality control in the form of an automated final inspection.As the Quelltech Q6 laser scanner features an extremely precise resolution of 4096 Pixels/Profile at a high scan rate, this model proved to be able to meet the requirements and was mounted onto the positioning stage of the grinding machine. Furthermore, an industrial measurement computer was added, used for the analysis software of the point cloud. On the basis of this configuration, the entire roll surface could be recorded on a helical path.

Four QuellTech Q6 3D- laser scanners are installed, mutually displaced by an angle of 90°. In this configuration, they are able to monitor the complete surface of the cable running through. It is important that the test does not lower the production speed, therefore very high sampling rates are required, supported by convenient data processing. The measured position of a defect is recorded in cable direction.

Plastic Mold Part (AC Controller) Inspection At this point the manufacturer is looking for scratches and chips and dimension specifications manually. In this respect manual inspection is not a repeatable or trustworthy method to guarantee steady quality of goods. It will be demanding for a human worker to detect this for a long period. QuellTech Solution Plastic Mold Parts are easily measurable materials for QuellTech scanners. Using the QuellTech Q4-120 Laser Line Scanner it is possible to obtain very precise reflection free 3D point clouds. A Software making necessary detections in 3D point clouds can effortlessly check dimensions and find scratches or any other defect which allows the manufacturer to automatically parse outparts that do not pass the tolerance levels.

Wear is a damage consisting in gradual removal or deformation of material on solid surfaces, caused by mechanical (e.g. erosion) or chemical (e.g. corrosion) influences. In machine elements, wear may give rise to material failure or loss of functionality. For the application in question, our client has to measure wear on the surface of rollers in cement mills. Up from a certain depth, reactions are required, generated by a warning system to be developed In this project, we used several robust QuellTech Q6 scanners to cover fully the roller width. Due to the high rotational speed of the rollers, we preferred our fastest scanners for this application. We furthermore developed a software solution and implemented a warning system, based on the critical depth of the wears on the surface. By means of this system, the customer can determine the correct time for exchange of the rollers.

Inductive sensors detect metal objects contactless and wear-free. For this, they use a high-frequency electromagnetic AC field that interacts with the target. Magnetic field sensors are used in particular for contactless detection of the piston position in pneumatic cylinders. Using a patented operating principle, our magnetic field sensors detect permanent magnets of different strength attached to the piston in all common cylinders error-free. The sensors operate wear-free, are short-circuit proof, rugged and IP67 rated. We also offer solutions for use in welding or hazardous areas as well as for analog queries.

The compact vision sensor iVU closes the gap between the imaging equipment and the sensor level. The iVu sensor can be parametrized directly via an internal touch screen and is thus the solution for many applications, which otherwise would only be very complex to realize by using a large number of normal sensors.
