Let’s start with: what is stock management? Actually, stock management covers everything to do with ensuring that you have sufficient goods in stock. With stock management, you monitor the quantity of goods and make sure you always have sufficient in stock when orders are placed. Speed is a large part in your webshop’s success. This is why returns delivered to us before 12:00 P.M. are processed the same day. The entire process, like all other fulfilment processes, is coordinated by our customer-service staff, so that the customer remains fully informed about where the return is located and when they will be refunded. Monta receives returns from various distributors on a daily basis. Returns are processed by us within 48 hours of receipt. This is how we process returns from your webshop: The package is accepted; If the original packing slip is included, this is scanned; If not, the address details are used to identify the original order; The goods are unpacked, inspected and entered; Follow-up action is carried out according to a pre-arranged protocol. There are additional options for processing returns: A photo can be taken of each return (this photo will then be available on the Monta portal). An email can be sent to the end user informing them that the returns have been received. This message can be customised, if required. For example, the customer can be notified that the returns have been approved and that payment or the new product will be paid or shipped the same day. Our return logistics ensure that end users are kept fully informed, something that will generate more positive reviews.

Customers become satisfied customers when their returns are quickly accepted and they are speedily refunded. However, when they experience that the return logistics take a lot of effort and/or time, customers may become annoyed and never buy from you again. This is why it’s important to have efficient returns logistics in place – or to outsource your returns to a partner who can handle these efficiently for you. As a Monta customer, it is also possible that your stock is stored in multiple warehouses, for example if you want to ship from a Monta warehouse in the Netherlands to your Dutch customers, but prefer to ship from a German warehouse to your German customers. If your stock is stored in several warehouses, then there is also the option to ship from several warehouses. The good thing about this is that you are less likely to miss orders if you do not have an item in stock. It is highly likely that the item will be in stock at one of the two warehouses. We can then proceed in two ways1 Transfer orders to the warehouse that still has stock, the order is then sent to the end user from this other warehouse; 2 Split orders according to the warehouse where the stock is located, end users will then receive multiple packages. Perfect, surely! The customer doesn’t need to know, especially when the order is completely transferred from warehouse A to warehouse B. You won’t be letting your

Monta work only with reputable shipping partners such as PostNL, DHL, Budbee, Fedex, Deutsche Post, Trunkrs, UPS, DPD and GLS. We have standardised IT links with all these carriers, making pre-notification, track & trace codes and label printing hassle-free. We work together with all these carriers to give you, the website owner, a choice of carrier to transport your orders. Naturally, we discuss this with you and offer advice. There is also the option to ship via several carriers, which is why we maintain such an extensive network of carriers that we work with!

We have a webshop data dashboard, the Monta portal, where you can track our services in real time. Here, we display, among other things, details of your goods receipt, stock, processed orders, shipped orders and your returns. For the shipment of your products, we have standard links in place with various carriers, enabling pre-notifications, shipping labels and track & trace information to be created without any problems. Monta gives you the option of adding additional items when packaging the products. This allows you, as a webshop, to include targeted advertising. It may be an extra product, or a discount voucher for a subsequent order. Because these products are added afterwards, no mistakes are made when the order picking trolley is driven around – this is one of the reasons why we have a 99.98 percent performance guarantee. After order picking, every shipment is re-checked at our e-check station before the goods are packed. Here, all barcodes are carefully checked once again, so you can rely on us! Moreover, it’s possible to register the serial number. We always register a serial number for electronic items. This serial number is unique to each individual device. We make sure we register the serial number at the outbound stage, i.e. when the order is packed for shipment. Now we know the exact destination of that particular device.

But did you know that – provided the order quantity is sufficient – we can also handle the fulfilment of extra-large products? Of course, the storage options for your webshop are extremely diverse. There are very few items for which we cannot offer a solution. We can even store luxury products, or products that need to be kept under special conditions in one of our warehouses. Or products that are either very small or very large. When goods are received, we can take additional care by recording the best-before date. This is ideal for the fulfilment of food products; such as foodstuffs and supplements. Monta records the best before dates of these products at product receipt. These types of products cannot be sent to customers if they a) do not have a batch number or b) if the best before date has expired. Food products can also have inbound and outbound periods; in other words when these products can no longer be received or shipped by Monta. It’s the customer’s responsibility to monitor which best before dates are about to expire. This is clearly displayed in the Monta portal reports. These reports can also be sent out automatically by email.

Every Monta customer has the choice of two operating modes: FIFO and FEFO. FIFO or “First in, first out” means that the products that are entered and stocked first are also processed first by the order processing team. Ideal for rotating stock of seasonal products, for example. FEFO or “First expired, first out” means that the least long-lasting products are shipped first, even if they arrive later than another batch during goods receipt, for example. This serves as a quality guarantee for your products, and has a direct impact on customer satisfaction. Looking for a fulfilment party that takes the FEFO or FIFO working methods into account? Monta offers both options! Your choice depends on your requirements. After each goods receipt, our system checks whether there are any existing open orders for this item (back orders). Are there existing back orders for this item? Then these are automatically activated for delivery. Easy!

Monta has set itself the target to check, allocate a warehouse location and book in the received goods within two hours. This process is constantly monitored. Our working procedures ensure that your products are available for sale as quickly as possible during the goods receipt process. After the goods receipt process has been completed, the original packing slip is scanned and automatically emailed to you. All products we receive are photographed. These photos can be accessed via the online portal.
