CERTO® – The Leak-tight Thanks to their cup-shaped rivet sleeves, CERTO® sealing blind rivets are the specialists when it comes to liquid-tight riveting. Thanks to this special design, the breakstem is also captive. The rivet forms a smooth, burr-free blind head and is suitable for automatic riveting. Blind rivets are one of the most extensively used fasteners worldwide. An almost endless diversity of types, sizes and formats ensure solutions for all applications. For years, HONSEL has focused primarily on the manufacture of non-standard blind rivets.

The OPTO multigrip blind rivet with his especially embossed rivet shaft, is distinctly different to a standard blind rivet. Due to his constructive structural, the rivet guarantees lots of excellent performance characteristics: — large grip range — good filling capacity of the borehole — non-positive locking of the captive mandrel without clearance — no rattling sounds — dustproof and splash water-tight Preferred applications for OPTO multigrip blind rivets can be found in the field of vehicle manufacturing, in air conditioning technology as well as in the production of tanks and cntainers. Furthermore, this rivet type is excellently suited for use as a repair rivet. Honsel develops for this blind rivet type special variants for the serial producti on, too, e. g. large grip range low grip range with a diameter up to 8,0 mm!

A closed end rivet The rivet body of the GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet is absolutely air and watertight. Liquids cannot seep through, could however seep around the set rivet, if the setting hole is too large. Therefore great care must be brought to fullfi lling the hole tolerances. The GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet – The structure For technical reasons, the rivet mandrel of the GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet must be fi xed in the rivet body. However this means that the rivet body can only deform slightly during the setting process. As a result, the cap blind rivet only has marginal hole fi lling capability. However this is necessary to be able to compensate large bore-hole tolerances. The GESIPA CAP ® blind rivet – Tight connections with care The above-mentioned technical situations make careful preparation of the application imperative. The hole diameter should be as tight as possible to ensure a fl awless function in the application for a long period.

The brushless motor and 10,000 N of force make the AccuBird® Pro extremely fast for installing blind rivets up to 5 mm in diameter, in any material and up to 6 mm in diameter aluminium. The BLDC motor of the AccuBird® Pro has an extremely long service life and is virtually non-wearing. Compared to commercially available battery-powered tools, riveting can be done up to 4x faster making it comparable with hydropneumatic blind riveting tools. The optional autoreverse function additionally shortens the pulling process, ensuring the AccuBird® Pro is immediately ready for operation. The AccuBird® Pro is also equipped with the low-wear jaws system, which has already proven its worth a thousand times over. GESIPA® profile clinching blind rivets are ideal for maintaining defined distances during component assembly or for setting a stop in running rails. Accordingly this special rivet is used in the white goods and furniture industry among others.

Grooved blind rivets are suitable for riveting in blind holes in soft materials. They are used in the furniture industry, in interior fittings, in the wood and plastics processing industry, in car body construction and many more. Important: Before processing the grooved blind rivets, the drill hole diameter must be determined by testing and the minimum drill hole depth must be observed.

Washer-shaped locking head This valuable locking head shape distributes the contact pressure evenly over the component, making it the perfect fastener for riveting soft and brittle components such as plastics and composites. Large clamping range One PolyBulb® blind rivet replaces up to three conventional blind rivets and reduces part variety. The classic model. The designation ALFO® stands for the product range of HONSEL open standard blind rivets that are available with dome, countersunk or large dome head. It covers the versions and special types described in DIN EN ISO 15977 to 15984 as well as 16582 and 16584. “Special types” by our definition are rivets with a function as described in the above standards, but with differences in certain dimensions, functional properties or material combinations.

As a combination of blind rivet nut and screw, blind rivet nut studs offer an alternative or replacement for welding studs.
