Packaging laminates Multi-layer laminated foils Fatra Folam® are designed mainly for the production of so-called flexible packages. These areal materials are mostly of foil type and their basic layer is formed by BOPET film. Processed materials PET paper PE PP Al PET (polyethylene-terephthalate) is a hard and clear polymer material with extremely good mechanical features. It shows excellent tear resistance; it can resist to high pressure volumes without braking, which is used in the production of packages for beverages – PET bottles. PET material is suitable also for the production of extruded foils. Subsequent biaxial stretching of the foil (in both directions) improves significantly the strength in both directions. It forms the required packaging material known for example from gift packs, or as a baking foil. Foils and boards from PE, PET, and EVAC – smooth/embossed foils and boards from LD-PE, HD-PE – they are used in the building industry (undercutting of masonry, building insulation), or for other applications (vehicle mud-flaps, protective / separation layers in packaging, etc.). PET boards are designed for floor protection against scratching; anti-skid foil from EVAC is used as a protection against scratching and contamination in shelves and cabinets

Important characteristics of this type of film are: Stretch Level: A pre-stretch level of 50% means the film can be stretched to twice its original length. This creates a tougher, more secure wrapping layer around the goods being packaged. Stiffness: Film with 50% pre-stretch typically has greater stiffness and resistance to deformation than softer versions of stretch film. This can be important when packaging products that require additional rigidity and stability. Load Securing: This type of stretch film is perfect for securing goods on pallets or in multipacks. A pre-stretch level of 50% provides reliable grip and protection of goods from shifting and damage during transportation and storage. Protection from dust and moisture: Like regular stretch film, the rigid version protects packaged goods from dust and moisture, which is especially important for warehousing and transportation.

Resistance to chemical influences: Polyethylene film is not affected by alkalis, acids and salts, which provides reliable protection for packaged products and goods. Presentability: Polyethylene film can be either transparent or painted in a certain color. When a company logo is applied to it, it helps improve the appearance of the product, which in turn can have a positive effect on sales.
