Knight Optical offer a range of Stock N-BK7 Dome Windows, for use with Underwater Lighting. A dome is an optical window composed of two parallel curved surfaces. Domes are commonly used in defence applications and often in extreme environments such as Submersible ROV’s. The shape of the window creates a naturally strong shape that gets tougher under pressure. Using a curved dome optical surface allows for an increased beam angle, therefore allowing a greater area to be lit from one light source. For visible applications, N-BK7 with its high optical quality and uniform transmission and low absorption in the visible spectrum makes it an ideal material for underwater lighting. A tough and cost effective solution which allows for good transmission of the light source in the underwater environment will both protect the light source as well as transmitting from 300nm up to 2µm. As UVC sterilisation becomes more prevalent, Knight Optical can offer UV domes to house LEDs and LED arrays, as well as other light sources. We stock ready-to-order 50mm and 100mm UV fused silica domes with high transmission down to 185nm, meaning it encompasses the traditionally used UVC light sources – KCl excimer lamps (222nm), mercury lamps (254nm) and LEDs (265nm, 273nm and 280nm). Knight Optical can also provide custom domes, including with a flange for easier mounting, manufactured from UV fused silica. Also available are optical coatings to enhance the performance of the dome. Quality Assurance All optical components are tested in our state-of-the-art metrology laboratory to ensure they meet every specification, and then 100% visually inspected by our highly trained quality technicians. The planistar light tunnel can produce in any size you need for your machine vision application. In the led light tunnel we integrat three systems of edge light systems, so it's a very diffuse led lighting. led Dark field light for steady burning light, switch or flashing: Due to the patented reflector technique the light will be delivered only to a determined direction. this produces an equal dark area over a big examination area. You you have an very legal dark field lighting for your vision system. It's very good for waver and glass. But it's also an lighting solution for many other applications. Xled-Flat dome lights: By the especially patented pressure on the light conductor the light arrives on the examination object, but not into the camera. Due to the depth of field the grid print disappears for the camera and therefore, there is no breakthrough (dark stain) visible on the ecamination area. The flat dome light is very good for reading codes and labels. Coaxial light: these coacial light have a semi-permeable mirror.
