The estate is located in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, locality « Clôs du Blanc », facing north and 2690 feet above sea level. Our vines grow on a variety of land, plains, valleys and hills, so they can fully express the potential of this unique soil. Our vineyard offers a large range of typically provençal vine types : Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, white Ugni and Vermentino. An ancient and very fine lot of Syrah overhangs the estate to the north-west : 0,65 acresplanted way back in 1947. This lot is historical in the vineyard as well as in Provence, since very few lots were planted with this type of vines before 1950. Brilliant idea of a brilliant mind ? Experiment of a passionate ? The question will remain unanswered. Two lots of Grenache and Syrah, planted on hillside more than 985 feet above sea level, give us a great vue on the Luberon hills, the medieval castle of Le Puy Sainte Réparade and the Sainte Victoire mountain.

The frank fragrance shows expressive black berries framed by tones of tobacco and leather. The characteristic tones of coffee and cocoa beans are manifested in a medium-long aftertaste. The wine shows a rich taste combined with medium acidity and a young rough tannin. The perfect combination is spicy but not spicy dishes of pork, beef and lamb, served with baked potatoes.

This wine delivers aromatics of nectarine, lime, florals and hints of toasted spice. The palate is concentrated and precise, with citrus, black currant, fresh herbs and grilled pineapple flavors. This wine possesses crisp. refreshing acidity and a touch of chalky minerality. A great match with all seafood, particularly shellfish. The crisp flavors work well with fresh summer salads or soft goat cheese.

The outstanding fragrance shows hints of rose, ripe peach, honey flowers, lychee, mango and citrus jam. The bright taste masks the low acidity, turning into a long sweet aftertaste. This wine is clear, shiny, ruby red with cherry highlights. The varietal aromas of the Merlot express themselves with notes of red currants and black cherries. The attack is frank, the morello cherry and the vanilla accompanies a licorice and ample final. Tannins are soft.

This wine represents the signature of Château Brande Bergère, a reflection of our terroir and the work carried out in the vines and in the cellars. Deep red in color, well structured, round, and very elegant. It is bottled in 75cl bottles only

Prestige Cuvée bearing the name of the Irish priest, the founder of Brande Shepherdess in the eighteenth century, it is made of the assembly of the best grapes, and raised in French oak casks. Château Brande-Shepherdess is ranked No. 1 of all Bordeaux and Bordeaux superiors by the Revue du Vin de France (RVF) for the vintage 2013. It is put in bottles of 75cl, Magnum (1.5 L), and double Magnum (3l).

Tasting notes Brilliant pale yellow colour, The nose offers aromas of fresh fruit, citrus and exotic fruits, as well as pretty floral notes. Lively and fresh on the palate, the typical Muscat character dominates the finish.
